funny story involving my golf round today

as we are finishing up and walking to the club house some guy hit a windsheild and broke it with a golf ball and everyone is talking about it and we hear the guy say "damn that was my own car"

out of all the cars in the parking lot he hits his own and breaks the windshield haha
 
Better than being yours, and you having to break his face, lol.

Damn that'd suck tho, how to you tell insurance that one??? HA HA HA

Surely you don't have to provide evidence of who broke your windshield with a golf ball...do you? How many times would a golf ball smash a windshield/window and the guy who hit it actually chased up the owner to sort it out? Surely, that would usually result in a "hit and run".
 
I was playing down Sandringham one day and theres a par 3 on the back 9 that runs along the roadside, one of the guys in my group shanked his 7 iron off the tee and looked like it was gonna land in the middle of the road only to hit the powerlines and bounce back onto the Green about 12-15 feet from the flag, If I wasn't standing there with my mouth agape I wouldn't have believed it.

I also had a guy in my group overshoot the green one day only to have it bounce off a tree and land back on the green.

And another amazing shot "by myself" this time, I teed up and there was about a 50-60m pond/lake you have to clear I shanked my drive terribly but hit it so low and hard that the ball skimmed off the top of the water like a skipping stone and continued up the fairway a few hundred yards......we laughed for the rest of the round about the "wonder shot" and still to this day it is brought up every time we play at the course.

Some truly amazing things happen on the golf course, thats for sure.

Edit : And just to show that fortunes can change, the guy I always play with was under a tree one day and after hitting his shot broke his club on the branches in his follow through..."pretty rough as the clubs were quite new" then on the very next hole he plants a hole in 1!!!! only hole in one I've ever seen in-person, I've come within about 2 feet before but never been lucky (or skillful) enough to get one myself.
 
I once shakned a par 3 off and it hit a tree and rolled on the green about 4 inches from the cup.

also I was chipping from the sand once, it flew over the green hit a rock and rolled right back next to the cup, unfortunatly I still shoot like 20 over par ;)
 
ill share my golf stories!

i eagled a par 5 at mt gambier a few months back,wack the driver down the fairway and had a mad slice at the end and it hit a stake sticking out in the rough and bounched back in the middle of the fairway and then i chipped it on 2 foot from the cup the putted it in for a eagle!

another was playing at my local course and teed off with a 7 iron on a par 3,fair to say i got hold of it and really shanked it:lol: it went over the next fair which runs along a street,and all i heard was a huge smashing sound,i thought oh great smash a window!
but i got over to the next fairway and heres a truck parked there,put 2 and 2 together and got it was his air brakes when he stopped!:lol:

love my golf

shot a round of 83 of the stick the other day!
