NBA is addictive, but I gotta admit, it's still kinda cool pulling sketch cards and blue foil autos from the select AFL packs

Yeah still cool...but it gets old, you keep getting the same stuff...no chance of limited cards - which really get you feeling excited/lucky

Just pulled a nowitki / harris connexions dual patch 179/199!!

i think its just a jersey card, not a patch, but still great break overall!

Yeah man they're nice hey. they were my first delve into a box of b'ball to, as much as I love AFL, the champions series is just pathetic. Series 2 should be mad though! You're right about it being good and bad about the low number commons, awesome that they're easy to collect, but kind of is a disinsentive against getting another box unless your all about the hits.

I'm thinking I might go a box of Trademark Moves next for that reason, try and collect a different base set and it also has plenty of inserts.

Yeah bro, i'm soo looking forward to s2 afl classics...offers the same element of excitement with limited signatures...

A patch will usually have stitching on it, sometime more than 1 colour and is usually from the player's name, team name or logo...

patch is where it has multiple colors and stitching on the piece like how your hinrich auto/patch has 3 colors.

jersey cards or 'game used' cards usually only have one color pieces.

Hinrich has 3 colors black, white and red....its numbered 19/25

Dirk/Harris have 1 color each, numbered 179/199

Tyrus Thomas is numbered 085/199

It's all good, the numbering suggests its a patch, just checked.

You're not guaranteed on in those small boxes so great work in pulling that one!

dont know what boxes you been busting ersk but E-X avgs 2 autos and 1 GU per box...
your just unlucky if you dont get the avg....
my first box of E-X yielded 5 hits!

You will also see from the pics that the Manu GU card has only one color but its a Patch card...

Damn this box was pretty awesome, i wouldnt expect to get one as good as this for your next one. I would gladly take a box like that, Thomas & Henrich were two very good pulls. Where are you getting your other box from?

AFL cards just have the same inserts atm

Muc more exciting getting one of these!

It is more exciting but a simple AFL insert will fetch more than a NBA signature card in most cases, if only Select would add the odd jersey card like they did back in the 2003.
