Went to Cleveland back on Friday night to pursue the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since nothing was going on in Michigan I had interest in going to, I decided to head down the Ohio Turnpike to try at this team. This trip to Cleveland marks my 2nd year in a row I have gone down to Ohio to try for an NBA team. I have more to say but before I get into the stories, I want to share the results. Here are the results of how I did total at the hotel and game:
NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 2/29/08
Timberwolves
Corey Brewer 3 cards (He is good for at least 3 items Max.)
Michael Doleac 1 card (Sig is now a hack. Ironically, this is my 2nd time I got him in the last 6 years. Last time I got Doleac, he was a Cav.)
Randy Foye 4 cards
Ryan Gomes 2 cards (Still good about signing everything.)
Marko Jaric 2 cards (One of the cards came out crappy ugh.)
Al Jefferson 1 card (Unfortunately, sig deteriorated on the card ugh. Oh well I got him before and plus I see this team in Detroit one more time this season. I will have a better card ready for him by then.)
Mark Madsen 2 cards (Had help on this one. He is a one per guy usually.)
Chris Richard 1 card
Craig Smith 2 cards
Sebastian Telfair 2 cards
Ed Pinckney 1 card (I thought he would be good for more then one since that he is an assistant coach now. Very strange...)
Cavs
and.........
Delonte West 3 cards (Was surprised he ran off the court on the Timberwolves side here. I lucked out on this one I guess lol.)
That is all I have to share here result wise on my night here in Ohio. I got some stories now.
This years experience I had on the Ohio Turnpike was much different then last year. No semis tried to run me off the road here this time and no semis were doing 90 at least on this well patrolled road. I did have a much safer experience driving the turnpike this time around. There was still a good amount of state troopers out so a heads up to anyone else driving the Ohio Turnpike for graphing trips this year, watch your speed. Its as simple as that.
At the hotel, it was not as bad as last year. This kid I kept telling you all about from the Orlando Magic hotel last year that bragged about getting J.J. Redick in the morning and showing off his photo asking to his buddies/group there how much he could get on ebay was no where to be seen this time around. He also was known for yelling out loud how much he could get on ebay for items, etc. I was glad to not see him anywhere this year. If anything, the hotel has been getting tougher with allowing autographs. As Sebastian Telfair was coming over to sign for us, hotel security kept pushing us back and no one understood why since he was going to come sign for us anyways. Now with that idiot dealer gone, I hope the security does improve at the basketball hotels in Cleveland in the future.
Otherwise, I look forward to hearing all of your comments on my night down here in Ohio. Thanks alot for looking!!!
