The Patrick Ewing market is always dry & i need a little project on the side.
Received this Wilson Chandler Sweet Shot today which has made me think about collecting his cards, they're cheap & hopefully he will be part of the Knicks for years to come. My main concern is not the future price of his cards but whether or not he will be with the Knicks in years to come.

To be honest i haven't had much interest in the Knicks this year, i don't know why.:(
I know he's a solid defender with great potential but will he succumb to the Ewing curse at Madison Square Garden.

Knicks bashers welcome.

Nothing wrong with Chandler. Like anything these days, the players are like commodities. Hero one day, gone the next.
I hope he sticks around and see how he develops.

That's why i hate collecting any of the New York Rookie cards, it's the same with any player now if i could be certain they were going to stay a Knick then i would bother.:)

Thats why you collect the old school like Pat, Walt, and Reed. Actually, don't collect any of those guys please :P
You just don't know these days, with any player really. I guess if you like the player enough you will collect him wherever he goes. Like Ewing for instance to the Magic and the Sonics :)

At first i was going to collect all the great retired numbers of the Kincks

Walt Frazier - Played: 1967-68-1976-77
Number retired on Dec. 15, 1979

Dick Barnett - Played: 1965-66-1973-74
Number retired on March 10, 1990

Earl Monroe - Played: 1971-72-1979-80
Number retired on March 1, 1986

Dick McGuire - Played: 1949-50-1956-57
Number retired on March 14, 1992

Willis Reed - Played: 1964-65-1973-74
Number retired on October 21, 1976

Dave DeBusschere - Played: 1968-69-1973-74
Number retired on March 24, 1981

Bill Bradley - Played: 1967-68-1976-77
Number retired on February 18, 1984

Patrick Ewing - Played: 1985-86-1999-00
Number retired on February 28, 2003

But that would be financial suicide. Patrick was my idol growing up so the love was always there.

Yeh same here. Patrick was always my favourite player when watching the games and playing NBA Jam and NBA Live 94.
But i had an appreciation for the older players after seeing some highlights and how they played together as a team.
Yeh try collecting Dave DeBusschere and Bill Bradley. BAHHHH! As in damn those autos go for more than Ewing's!

Nice looking card mate. I have pulled a few of his cards over the last few days. Let me know if you are after any.

Nice pick up :D

Not sure on him being a Knick for a long time though :-k
Players on teams can change very quickly. Hero one day, nobody the next. Its a very fickle game indeed.
