So... yesterday I had an experience I never ever want to have again. After losing the NFC championship game in my third season (I had won the superbowl two previous years) I progressed to the offseason... only for it to flip out on me... as a result and following contact with EA customer support it's come to my attention that the data became corrupted.
Now Madden is a game full of nuiances that make it fascinating for the sports gamers who have a thing for stats and performance stories....
Players battle for starting positions during preseason and then have the opportunity to perform should the starter be injured.
My starting running back Marion Barber was injured early in the season... from then on I owned with Julius Jones (who always seems to suck in preseason hence he never gets starter role). I won my first ever MVP award with Jones, and I had my best season with Romo with regards to TD/INT ratio... not making the superbowl sucked... but I had built my team to the point of 17 straight wins.... (16 - 0 regular season).
To lose this three years, sucked to say the least and has sapped some of my enthusiasm.....
But I thought I'd share my season stats for 2008:
