just my 2 cents:

Grab bag still much cheaper than busting packs, I mean look the pack price now days, $20 per pack is average(say Spx), you'll get 5-6 cards only, not even guarantee one GU per pack 90% packs are worth $5 or less. Yet we are happy to spend on it(incl myself), I am sure as everyone know how much some of us spend on packs, I don't walk out shop without spending at least 50bucks on packs(that's why I don't go to card shop very often)

If you look close most of the cards I put in the lot are insert way above average odds(Busting over 500 packs to pulled all these cards), the thing in hobby is that individual cards are worth so little compare to box or packs price. Back in 90s a numbered card to 100 would be worth more than 1 packs cost, and now it's almost same value as common cards.

I am start thinking to quite hobby at all,just can't keep up with the new release, Money could be spend better elsewhere. Been said that I still love my cards and I still love this sports.

Has everyone posting their break? I can't wait to see the Tmac dual been pulled, yet I still have 5 lots left(2more on pending). All lots must go or at least the Tmac been pulled.
So please posting your break here, If it's still out there Then the odd is very good,

$20 a pack of spx? Where are you buying your packs from man because thats a ripoff.

Believe me mate, the cheapest Spx I've seen in shops sell for $18.95 per pack, There are shops sell for those price, but again card shop need to pay lot more fees to keep up with.

When you think about it, we do need place to go, have chat sometimes.

That's why I keep spending money in the Local shop than buying much cheaper box on Ebay.

Coz Ebay is killing them.

actual for less than $100 (include delivery) u can get a full sealed box. shop in australia have to sell there stuff almost twice just to even out but ebay or internet shops e.g westriot or sasquash can sell them for almost half the price as the shops. i guess u like ur packs or boxes on the spot and cant be bother to wait 1 to 2 days. i used to be like that as well but the cost is too much to keep buying at that price.

Very true, If no one support our local card shop, there wouldn't be any soon.

As far as I seen Retail Shops has no advantage against online dealer, not at all.
 
I don't bust lots packs or box anymore, main reason is the cost, but again I do go there from time to time to catch up old mates, and spend some money there.

just to show your support.

that true, but since the creation of internet alot of collectible shops have gone under due to the lack of sales. ebay pretty much killed small shops becoz b4 u can see cards on display for sale but sell them for almost 100% book value. now i laugh whenever i see things like that (except rare old stuff!)becoz bv lost its value for mid to high-end stuff becoz the true ebay value is the determine guideline in the hobby. well thats what i used to price cards anyway unless its alot of low-end card which i used the bv guideline.
