I need help - what to do here.....

Firstly I want peoples opinions on this...

Secondly - anyone have any experience trying to get a paypal payback? Do u think I deserve one?, should I try for it??

Here's the problem I have....

Won an auction on July 4th

Paid the same day via paypal (by the way I emailed prior to the auction - the guy said to pay $5 postage)...

After 2 weeks I write a polite email, a few days later - same again, finally on July 24th - 20 days after payment...I get...

"its been mailed. should be there soon lmk"

It's now August 2nd - nearly a month since I won.

Here's the problem....

This seller is an ass - he negs anyone who complains about anything. I don't have a neg for years and don't want one. I actually think buyers are scared to neg him as he retaliates for sure...I have asked ebay for help twice about this and they pull the old - contact the seller and negotiate crap...

This guy basically only leaves feedback when someone moans - he hardly even leaves positives!!! Basically he doesn't belong on ebay...

I know if I neg or even neutral him he'll come back with - 'took ages cos of overseas, be patient etc..." I don't think it's worth the hassle to be honest.

Does anyone think I should go thru paypal on this as Ebay seems to ignore dicks like this...

Mate, I'll be honest and say you're a gambler even bidding on something he auctions. You've done everything you can. Admittedly, I only skimmed his feedback, but noone seems to have missed out on receiving their cards - they just take forever to get them. Someone told me a few weeks ago that you have 45 days to make a Paypal claim ... if that's right, leave it for another week, then go the Paypal claim.

Can they neg. you for a successful Paypal claim, if you neg. them???

Well LJ since we are all honest traders on this board you should go through with the claim, however if and when you do receive the card, send the money back. Unless he negs you and then don't give him his money. Donate some of the money to charity. Haha.

Wally - thing is when I looked at the auction u see a feedback rating of 99.6 - that's pretty darn good...so I didn't see any risk. Not sure about the feedback thing u asked...that's the kind of advice I'm after here!!

Westriot - I am an honest trader/buyer and I also go outa my way to be very polite (the only neg I've ever had was when a friend of mine used my id while I was on holiday!!) but this guy is such a prick I think if I won I'd keep the money and if the card arrived I'd keep that too!!!

I know one thing I AM doing is bag his ass on EVERY card site I know

Understand, mate. I can certainly see your point - I wasn't meaning to bag you. But when you read his recent feedback, whatta w*n*er! Good luck, mate - I reckon you'll get your card and probably your money, but what a hassle in the meantime.

Yeah....... I'd definitely file a paypal dispute before the time ends & THEN cancel it if it arrives if it hasn't gone through by then.... I've been ripped a few times by sellers who keep giving excuses until it's too late for me to file & then I miss out...... not again I tell you!

But lmao @ this guy's recent feedback...... he has more neg's than positives LOL!!

Oh & about getting retaliatory negs..... yep, I bloody hate these & have gotten a few myself...... what I have learned is you can't avoid them & you should use a different ebay account to buy things with then you do to sell & hence the neg won't hurt you as much.

He's crazy. i remember telling us when u won his card.. and still not arrived?

i think he's on something all the time..
if i am not mitakenly, the feedacks he left for others as negative have been increased more...

I think he better stops doing drugs and sends u the card you won.. it's been a few weeks already..
