Well not 1 but 2 things really pissed me off today when I got the mail. Firstly was a bubble mailer containing 5 Walker cards. Now I use this seller quite a bit through their eBay store to get cheap parallels usually the ones out of 250 etc that arent worth paying $3-4 shipping each. Well he states in his auctions that shipping is $3.50 + $1 for each additional. In the past they have always arrived with a 90c sticker or so on the mailer. He doesnt send invoices but lets you calculate your own shipping. So 5 cards that equates to $7.50. Now I'm not paying that when it costs him the same regardless so I sent the $3.50. I forgot to mention how the cards were packaged......they weren't. Not even a penny sleave! 5 cards in a mailer thats it! AMAZINGLY none were damaged at all. Now is this my fault for not following his rules?

Second was a single card, just in an envelope. Ok if I paid a small postage amount I would have been calm about this but I got his invoice and shipping was $2. So I paid and then got an email saying international is more so pay another $2 or your item won't be shipped. So I did, then it turns up in a damn envelope with 90c postage!!!!

END RANT

Even at $3.50 he still made money on the shipping! Sure you may think its just a couple of dollars but probably 1000 of my Walker's have come from the net. If your paying $3-4 a card then I'm sure you can do the math and thats just for shipping!

if he states his shipping cost thats what you have to pay, but he really should have just asked for the rest not sent them like that.

second guy sounds like a wanker tho...

Regarding your 1st incident - I might be the odd one out when I say this but if the guy states $1 extra per card and you bid knowing this then you should pay it ! If you don't agree with the postage costs try and negotiate BEFORE you bid & win. I am not saying sending the cards without protection is right but I can see why he did what he did.......it doesn't make it right but he could have just refused to send until you paid the extra $$$

Anyways, glad to read the cards arrived OK :)

PS - 90% of US sellers suck on postage costs - it sucks !

I had the same issue with the same guy! I used to send an email asking for his best price including shipping for the BIN's he has. I usually just put my own amount in there and he sends them anyway. I did notice, the last few packaged had cards in soft sleeves and in a team bag, they always arrived fine, so I wasn't bothered because I got out of paying excess shipping.

I agree the penny sleeve thing was low BUT how can you complain about this when you read the bits bolded above??

Thats asking for trouble or the cards not even being sent.

By bidding you agreed to his terms. So much pointless whining going on here lately that isn't warranted despite the over pricing of postage.
