Would it be crazy to think Topps might have had a decent nudge at both NRL and AFL? Fanatics track record seems pretty aggressive, and I could imagine NRL being attracted by big US player, given the Vegas expedition.
I’m bewildered by how Topps do inserts, with all the 1/1s, relics etc, and the plethora of pack/box options, but I’ve always admired the sense of tradition they’ve retained in their baseball designs, particularly base cards.
The scene could do with a shakeup. TLA has improved from its shaky start, and I’ve enjoyed the advent of Player In Focus cards - particularly for finals - but there’s def a sense of rinse and repeat each year for traders and elite.
