What box should I buy?

Box breaking = gambling by definition because you'll never know what you;re about to get, but most likely a fraction of your money back in terms of cards you probably have very little interest in. As they always say, only gamble with what you can afford to lose. One other point, I've seen guys become addicted to box breaking, so just keep your financial sense about you! $1000 is a crapload of work for most people to bet on a box.... For me, invest in the singles 99.99% of the time.

Never used to be such a gamble. Paying $60 for a box of 2006-07 Upper Deck Sweet Shot was just a bit of fun to get some cards to collect.

Now you're paying $2000 chasing the big Lebron auto and end up hitting the Hakim Warrick!

At $60 it was never a gamble, just a bit of fun. I miss that

Boxes have always been a gamble. It wasn't hard to spend that $60 and get less than $20 "worth" of cards. The swings, and hence misses, are just a lot bigger now.
