I have just paid my afterpay off after years of debt.
No boxes and no breaks makes it so much easier.
I have my eyes set on big curry, LeBron and Jordan cards and that's going to be my focus.
It took me all this time to realize. Legacy is king. You'll have a great collectionBuy on the established legacy and not the hype........people paying huge amounts for Zions rookie cards could have bought themselves a nice Kobe/Lebron or Jordan at the time.
Buy legends is my rule........or collect the team/players you support & like.
Oppenheimer mode?Nothing pisses me off any more - i'm in my Zen era!
It hurts me to say this but I reckon I spent 20K+ on wax in 2018. Credit card was maxed out at all times.I have just paid my afterpay off after years of debt.

yeah but you paid good value prices for that wax.It hurts me to say this but I reckon I spent 20K+ on wax in 2018. Credit card was maxed out at all times.
Also if I'd not been such a fiend and kept all the wax I bought in 2018 sealed I'd be sitting on a tidy sum. Just off the top of my head 6X jumbo boxes of 2018 Bowman and 3 hobby boxes of 2018 Bowman. 8X hobby boxes of 2018 Bowman Chrome. 6X jumbos of 2018 Update( $89 each at the time now 2K). 4 Jumbos of 2018 Series 2.
2X Jumbos and 1X hobby of 2018 Topps Chrome. 4X hobby 2018 Bowman's Best. Those were the big money items had they stayed sealed.
3X 2018 Prizm football hobby boxes.
I guess we all have those stories. I imagine there's a few on here who were into NBA and bought a lot of 2018/19 Prizm and higher end.
20K could have bought a few nice Jordan cards at that time but that was not my thinking back then. Had a great time opening the wax but it was a full blown addiction like any other. Better late than never I guess, However, the horse has bolted on a lot of cards that were very obtainable back then.
How many copies?Paying $30USD for a fomo induced card thinking I got a bargain only to see a hatful of the exact same card for less than half the price I bought it for just two weeks later.
Behold the Lamine Yamal Megacracks rookie. Possibly the most printed card in existence so far.

My guess is at least one million of just that card. Just a semi educated guess. There's no way of knowing the exact print run but the boxes from which they come are easily obtainable direct from Panini for just $30AUD. And he has 3 'rookie' cards in the product. This is his true rookie as the others are an insert even though they are labelled rookie cards. How many copies?
Haha. I'll wait untill they hit $5 and buy ten of them. Grade them and flip them like the grasping devil I am. The graded copies are also coming down in price but the PSA10 is still selling strong as these cards generally do not have very high gem rates. If you really wanted this card for your collection.........then really doesn't matter what you paid you have one now!
Buy another one cheaper and that will bring down the average cost of your first one down by a bit!
I buckled. Bought a hobby box and paid for some spots in breaks. $500 on Afterpay. Snap decision. Hate myself. It's going to take some resolve to beat this. Could've bought a Terry Lamb Legends auto for that. Yuck.I have just paid my afterpay off after years of debt.
