Predicted vs Actual Grades


One and One Blue - 9 , 8
Hand Crafted - 9 , 8
Nobility - 10 , 8
Etch White Pulsar - 10, 9
All Star Select Prizm - 9 , 10
Gold Illusions - 10 , 10


I really wanted that 10 for the White Pulsar. Totally whiffed on the Nobility - wanted a 10 to go with the Gold /10 10 I have.
Missed something on the Hand Crafted or it's centering related. One and One Blue was straight out of the Panini sealed one touch so that's dog shit.
Over the moon with the Jersey numbered 5/25 Select All Star Prizm so I'm saying in my mind I took a hit on the others to get a 10. Might make me feel better.

Hand crafted is some real eye candy - stands out amongst the crowd. Die-cut anything is notoriously hard to get a 10 grade, but 8 is a little rough.

Black jersey on the white pulsar is a nice looking card too.

As for the card straight out of the Panini one touch getting an 8, I think you knew all too well about the Panini quality control issues by estimating a 9 anyway - lol

I'm only grading or buying graded cards that I think have eye appeal - far too many cards to go for every card made! Maybe if I was rich!

so take out of the binder - get graded - see what it comes back as - crack out and put back in binder?

"Missed something, or it's centering related". I would add in a third possibility and that is the grader threw in an 8 because he felt like it. Predicting a 10 and getting an 8 is a bit rough. At least you had one go your way.

always a possibility! The cards with a definite border or something to distinguish mid-point etc are always baffling to me anyway. Happy overall just not ecstatic this time
