Makes me want to see what sweet ones we have on these baords :woot:

I have been chatting with Can't Fly, and the urge of seeing more of these is too much to resist :D

Anyway, I don't have many at all.

But, this was one I had picked up. I so love this card, and at the time, it was the only way you could get a Zo Auto'ed game used in a Heat Uniform. Instead of that dreaded Nets Uni:

Mike.

For those such as me that are not in the know: when does a buyback happen and when avid collectors such as ourselves buried in Australia learn of such an event?

I thought a buyback was where a previously released card was repackaged into a new product. IE Fleer buybacks from this year's Fleer, it had old cards from the late 80s. Some buybacks can be numbered, some can be autographed.

With Buybacks you tend to find UD product get the players to sign on the card and then put a sticker on the back to match the supplied stickered certificate card. With Skybox they mostly just number the cards and then stamp their cert on the card front and back. It is the Fleer emblem.

The most prized one at present is the Fleer 86 Jordan Rookie buyback. Went for..
2006-2007 Fleer Rookie buyback auto 20/23 12300.00USD May-07

Where do they come from? What's the story behind them?

The company buy some of its own product back from shops etc.. and then they number them and maybe get them signed and re-release them at a hard to find ratio. I think some were as high as 1:2160 from memory. For value wise the Ultimate ones are the ones to get.

Some cool cards there.

Yeah, I love the Zo so much when I saw it. And all the talk made me look back on it.

Me, being the crazy nut I was at the time. I had to get me another, when I saw this, I just had to have it. Not only rarer but the numbering was cool too. I just needed a bit of white fabric to go with the black:

I still think the black is cooler though in looks.
