Select Optimum 2021

Hi all,
Did anyone pick up a Platinum Jamarra Ugle Hagen DPS in their boxes of optimum?
If so shoot me a message, I have plenty to trade or can buy.

I wasn't looking forward to this release as I would have loved to buy a case (I know, now a thing of the past in the hobby). I've now opened 3 out of my 4 boxes and haven't got one of the BIG hits. I have however managed to complete the base set. I have also got to check off a few Brisbane Lions cards for the PC in the Specialist of Andrews and Cameron, also Optimum mirror of Brown which I'm happy with. Looking for the rest, PM me what you have...

Overall, this is a brilliant set which I had fun opening... just salty I wasn't lucky enough, or didn't get to open more boxes to get that BIG card I'd hoped for.
 
Same as me with my SCC box, HL (Hipwood) + Specialist (Bont) + Copper (Brisbane) + Gold (Sydney).

Still easily get my money back on the box despite being a dud and can't think of many boxes that will be worse.

Looking forward to my others arriving.

It's just a gut punch compared to most others


Hope your other ones are better. Surely can't get any worse (mine could though)

To everyone complaining that they didn't get any big hits after 3 or 4 boxes, if not more, remember one thing. For the love WHATEVER, remember this is not different than spending money on the pokies. You don't sit at the pokies after $600 and feel entitled to have got something out of it, you know it's a gamble. So is this, it's no different. Don't be salty, don't be upset, don't be angry, accept the fact you chose to open packs and weren't entitled to anything at all.

Well this seems directed at me... 1, I've never gambled and 2, every time I've brought cards, I've been able to buy a case (to get the big hits).
Just offering my opinion/thoughts of the release, which I had fun with.

It's directed exactly at who I said it's directed to, which is numerous people.

You say you haven't gambled but you have. This is gambling right here. Purchasing packs where you have no idea what the contents holds is a gamble. No different to putting money in a pokies machine when you don't know what it will spit out. If that doesn't sit well with you, then I'm sorry but that it's the reality of it. Maybe I can use a different word and say it's an enormous risk instead? Everyone knows that. Nobody is entitled to anything busting open packs of trading cards and the level of entitlement in the scene right now is at an all-time high in my opinion.

As you did, I am offering my opinion and thoughts on this release and how people are reacting. Ironically it's the same every time.

It's just a hobby to me. Obviously we don't know what's in the packs. Obviously we all want the big hits and we're allowed to be disappointed when we don't hit them. I don't see the point of complaining about card collectors expressing their disappointment of not opening what they wanted in a card collecting forum. Have a nice day
