2020 afl hilites cards and rising stars cards

Looking for a post about this release for 2020 on here and could not find one. Interesting as usually someone on OzcardTrader is straight on to a new release like this. Anyone collecting them ? or are they going to be a failure this year. Round 2 just announced today.

due to the additions of so many cards since Hilites first started.. i think a lot of people have just dropped back to getting their own team and potentially a few other players that they like..

putting together the full set would be a achievement

Apart from the cost, the biggest problem with these is the bias towards the 3-4 biggest teams. In a 17 round season, you'll probably have 2 - 3 each from Collingwood, Richmond and West Coast, and none from the smallest 6 or so clubs. It is hard to get excited about them when you know your team is unlikely to be featured at any point.

I’ll be collecting them as I have done for the past couple of years ... I enjoy the thrill of possibly hitting a 001, as generally there is less than 100 produced so there are good odds of at least a low number.
Design is definitely nice this year, would have been cool if they made the Rising Stars cards a bit more interesting, but at least they match up with the previous years versions.

I find the small number of cards ordered each week to be surprising especially as some buyers get more than one of each and put them up on eBay (often at about twice the original price). I have purchased all cards since they began with my main problem being to remember to go on the website to order them.

anyone else purchase the Eddie Betts Hilites and how many were there??
what do you think of the layout ?? I'm not a Blue's fan got this for a friend
This card looks to be a busy sort of card, like the actual picture but I think the stats down the front side don't help
seeing that they are on the back as well, just feel they clutter up the front a bit.

I agree with your view in regards to the design
there is a lot going on with the front of the card, looks cluttered...

It’s still 4 rounds mate. Sure the timing with select will be different but there’s still 4 rounds and everything else will be the same.
I’m sure select will look at how to release each card. Due to the short time frame, if I was Select I’d be doing sales but waiting to print and post them all until after the 4 rounds.

I Would hope Select come out in the next few days and tell us the dates when each rd's cards will be up for sale because I'm sure lot of people will be going up each Tuesday morning only too find the card has already been sold

If you’re already following the releases then I’m pretty sure you’re on the Facebook page. Just keep an eye out and you won’t have an issue, I honestly don’t think it’s that much of a change mate
