2020 footy stars prestiege release.

Too many releases per year doing me a favour. Too many cards to collect so will stop collecting. Maybe Select should have 1 set per year and start with Footy Stars idea then have insert sets half and end of year with major inserts without doubling up on commons, these could be issued like the Supreme set with seven numbered cards per box.

The hobby is booming and the appetite for more cards has been noticeable for a number of years.

You can't please everyone but most collectors will welcome the introduction of a new set in between series one and two.

The more the merrier imo, although we would never get to panini levels of a new release every few weeks

As far as Prestige goes there is a foil variant of the common set. Not entirely different to the holographic parallel set in series two.

Series one has always had low end insert sets. Series two has the All Australian set, to call anything else in that series low end would be a stretch.

The new Prestige set has zebra die cuts as the only unnumbered insert cards (there will be around 500 of each card printed) and it appears the rest of the cards will be numbered 200 or lower. I'm not too sure what these low end insert sets you are referring to are.

If anything so far I'll just wait till Dominance drops to pick any up as everyone will want to move them on cheaply.

I'm worried about them overproducing, Footy stars has seen bulk product sent back and some stores selling packs at 80 cents.

So to drop another series while that's going on, I'm a little worried.

Footy Stars had 2,520 cases produced.

This series has barely a quarter of that amount.

Agree, around 700 cases of this so can’t compare to footy stars from that point of view.
Also from what I’ve seen, plenty of major dealers and sellers offloading much of their inventory to get some spare cash to load up on this. Don’t think it will have much issue selling out.

The red parallels remind me of 2017 future force and that's sold out on Select's website. Some of the prices on those cards are crazy too, can't even find certain players

All signs point to there being a few more parallels in the rainbow, so would expect some very low numbered variants.. could be very difficult to find some

I don't think there will be any more than one more coloured variant after reading some comments. 2 to 3 of the same card is max apparently.

Thats probably a good thing then, although I’m still at a loss for what else will be in this. Even if we assume gold showstopper and platinum bp. That still leaves 3 more cards

Well It was stated that 2 to 3 variants are fine but excess like America is overboard. So would be amazed if he would say that with a release coming out that had more than 2 to 3 lol

Yeh fair points there. Forgot about the case cards.
I did hear that there aren’t a starbursts in this although I could be mistaken

The case card won't be previewed.

It's never part of the set or on a checklist and retains the same design every year.

Yeah, I`m with you mate. A lot of people knocking this set but it`s a good series two for low budget collectors as long as there`s a series 3.

In before this next parallel....... the folks at Panini had a chuckle at the Zebra parallel anyway!

In all seriousness.....the Red Parallel looks fantastic...love the pattern on it and only numbered to 170!

Will there also be a Green or Blue parallel? Or a Black Parallel #/5 would be huge MOJO.....they would be huge cards.
