Rate the last movie you watched

Wife got Netflix... OMG so much trash on there.

In keeping with the apocalyptic flavor of the year of 2020 last night I watched;

How it Ends (2018) : 3/10 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5246700/
Stars: Theo James, Forest Whitaker
Synopsis: A desperate man tries to return home to his pregnant fiancée after a mysterious apocalyptic event turns everything to chaos.
My Thoughts: Some interesting conflicts that you could see happening in future events in that type of situation, but so many really poor choices made in the story just make it a frustrating movie to watch.

Stars: Michael Pena, Lizzy Caplan
Synopsis: A father has a recurring dream of losing his family. His nightmare turns into reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on destruction. Fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep them safe from harm.
My Thoughts: Action packed and well shot for a low budget movie. But the plot twist is too far fetched and really ruins the emotion invested in the main characters. Again the movie is written in a way that makes you frustrated as hell with the poor choices made by the actors.

nice... or you could just cut to the chase, and watch KEN BURNS incredibly in-depth and awesome documentary "BASEBALL" 10 episode's spanning the history of u.s baseball..the good/bad, the up and downs. controversy and scandals, hero's and villians.
Its long 20+ hours, (but we all got a lot of time on out hands, at the moment) I love it,,and recommend it
 
Seven Psychopaths (2011) : 5/10 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1931533/
Stars: Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Chrisopher Walken, Woody Harrellson,
Synopsis: A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu.
My Thoughts: Had some really interesting parts to it. Lots of Psychotic killing involved. A lot of star power, but can't seem to hit the right strides in this one. Ending is a bit of a fizzer.
 
the hunt - 6/10. the left moved so far left theyve rounded back and become the far right. liberal snowflakes get frustrated and kidnap/hunt the lower classes. a few turns that go against the norm, and a pretty cool final fight, but still nothing special.
the invisible man - 6/10. title says it all. my biggest take-away was how did he never find the other suit?! kind of a let-down story wise and over-the top acting by the handmaid chick.
lost girls - 6/10. 'true' story about a bunch of missing/murdered girls and the mother who hassled the police into action. not bad, but not enough focus on the murders.
vivarium - 7/10. weird! its a 'horror' i guess. more of a depressing metaphor on human existence. very slow, alot of sub-text and again, very weird.
the banker - 5/10. two black men who owned and operated a bank with the help of a white proxy and disguising themselves as drivers and janitors. based on a true story, but i am learning that i dont really like anthony mackie.
resistance - 6/10. a look at marcel marceau's time with the french resistance during WWII. pretty interesting.

it is a mind bender movie, I think you got to be in the right mood to enjoy it...
i'm with you garnett.... 5/10. nothing special
 
did the classis Scorsese double up last nite...
GOODFELLAS - what needs to be said, CLASSIC. great story backed up with some of the best actors we have.. 9/10
CASINO - god I love this film, Scorsese nailed it with the mix of classic gangster and sin full old school las vegas,
again pesci steals the spot light with a unforgettable performance.(Sharon stone is fantastic as well) Love how scorsese never seams to rush his films, he lets to play out to tell a full and fruitfull story... 8/10

Both films have aged like a fine bottle of wine... and will remain classics for many more years to come.
