There’s a PSA 8 ( Fleer base) for $3,000US on COMC.

Is that about right price wise?

Nah that's way high. Psa 8 going about 1700-1800

That's quite a difference. I might start looking at Probstein/PWCC a bit more closely. COMC seems to have a premium attached to many of their cards, presumably because offers can be made.

Any basketball fan will want one. So yes. Not sure they'll ever dry up but the price will only go up.

Yeah if your a bball collector its a must have, and I guess the more people who are keeping them locked away will drive the price up. I do feel for tat that guy who purchased the first ever graded 10 one and paid so much for it. I actually bought two to pass down to my kids. Jordan changed basketball forever

The thing about MJ rookie cards and their demand for them is that not only was he known for his on court basketball abilities but also as an incredible athlete that basketball and sports fans alike would want his rookie card hence the demand for them.
