Thought this may be the case......will check out the local on Monday!

Might be worth while, I just checked my delivery manifest it is showing albums and starter boxes, no cards but seeing I get less than a case they are usually bundled with magazines.
Will post in the morning if they arrive.

Cards, albums and starters all in stock, wont get a chance to bust anything for a few hours but will be worth dropping into your local newsagent.
If they got them to me 400km from Sydney they should be available over most of NSW, not sure about Qld.

Opened a starter pack, insert card is between packs this year not on the bottom. Wont make it impossible to search but certainly a bit harder.
Pot luck and the startoons was 042/100 Addo-Carr

Saw them at my local. All 7 were badly damaged and half open on the bottom, I assume from the transport or being under magazines. I saw that two of the ST’s were bent badly around packets....

ouch that might make it hard finding nice cards...or a whole mess of replacements.

There hear in Brisbane and poeple already out buying one starter pack at each newsagent so they must be able to be searched

The 2017 bonus cards were in between packs and were still definitely able to be searched despite having less colour than the Startoons. Unless they completely cover the plastic or put the card in a non-transparent sleeve you'll be able to search them.

I think there is an easy solution which I've suggested before...Make the back of the cards the same colour and place them face down in the starter pack. Pretty simple.

The black Startoons /100 are easy to spot in the starter packs again
