Hey lads, as i've been cracking boxes lately, i've got a couple of piles of base/double cards lying around, and rather than throwing them out I was wondering if any of u help out poor kids or anything? if so let me know, I'd like to send them to someone who might like them rather than getting binned! CP3 mentioned something about poor kids or something once i think?!

LMK

Well I don;t know about poor kids but my mum is a primary school teacher and gives out little things/cards as prizes at times in her class I believe? Not sure if they'd know NBA though...shall ask her if she'd be interested...if that's alright?

I give them out in my classroom the kids love them as they are just like footy cards!!!

Some of the older kids know the players.

Well I'm 22 and I reckon I'm in one of the final yearsthat got more seriously into the NBA. Most of my cards range from 92/92-94/95 as this was the card boom time and I was in Grade2-Grade5. The last NBA game they played on free aussie TV was 1996 Championship game Bulls/Jazz which I have on VHS recorded as it was on at 1am and mum taped it for me! But sadly after my year it seems while basketball is a big thing still, the NBA is only accessible via internet, and they weren;t introduced to cards at all.

Mate, if you're ever getting rid of them, I work with disadvantaged children in the Kensington area. I've given away thousands of my own cards (cricket, footy, non-sport) but have all but exhausted my supply, so if you do have any you want to offload, please consider me.

Cheers.

Not quite the final years, I'm only 20 ;). I just started gettin into the craze in 95 when I was 8 and then it just gradually phased out over the 2 years or so.
