Hoping some people can help me out here...

When you scan your cards (assuming you do), what format do you save them in??

I tend to save as .jpg

I've seen some as .bmp

What do you use:

.jpg for me. Find it's a good enough quality without going nuts on pixels that make the file size too massive!

Thanks guys! Sounds like .jpg is the majority.

Hey Linn, I wasnt sure what extensions went with what, I just sourced the different possibilities, and that's what I came up with.

Cheers!!!

I've actually discovered a way to avoid needing to ask this (for an application I'm still writing), but I guess the feedback never hurt!

So thanks everyone!

Scotty,

i just meant, i use jpg for windows and png for linux.. they both can be created on each platforms..

if you are writing a program just to create and retrieve??, png is best suited. . IMO..

like gif extension, if u want interlaced or frames or animated...

coz for photos even pdf and raw would work.. depends on what you are after..

hope that helps...
