***SELECT HILITES***
Following on from the success of last years Select Hilites cards, we will be producing them again this year! Each round, we will be producing a limited edition Hilites card, featuring the player whose performance was deemed to be the most outstanding. This may be a match winning kick after the siren, a big bag of goals, a huge disposal count, or game saving tackle. Each week our Select Hilites card will commemorate the performance.

And just when you thought you had all your team cards for this year, here's a new series from Select.

***Introducing Rising Star Cards***

This year, we are giving our Collectors more opportunities to commemorate special moments throughout the season than ever before, and are proud to introduce our latest innovation - Rising Star cards! Similar to our popular Select Hilites cards, our Rising Star cards will be available for a 48 hour window each week and will feature the Rising Star for the round. We will only print the exact amount of cards that are ordered, and will never print anymore, ever!

In line with our Select Hilites cards, the Rising Star cards will be available for order on our website from 10am Tuesday - 10am Thursday each week (subject to change during special rounds). Stay tuned for more details...

The Collectors Choice

Non of us thought we had all our teams cards for the year mate, there will be a series 2 and Future Force remember. And who knows, maybe something else.

I may be a hawks fan, but i am calling this one early Tom Mitchell for Round 1 Hilites card. I know it took 23 rounds last year for him, or any hawk to make the cut and get on a card.
Both the weekly hilites player and rising star nominee player will be listed in the opening post after the completion of each round.
The final draft of the actual card will also be shown in each post.

will be interesting Buddy kicked 8 and had 21 possessions and select love buddy.

Yes they do but surely an all time AFL record tops 8 goals. Mitchell did something that no one in the history of the AFL has ever done, i am bias but it has to be Tom Mitchell.

Round 1 Hilite.jpg

damn buddy, its gunna be a tuff call. the irony is that the last time these guys were on a hilite card was in round 23 when select released two cards for the one round one for each player. who's it going to b?

I remember a similar discussion last year when Mitchell had 50+ disposals and didn't get it. will be very interesting to see who they go with.

Both cards this week and from Collingwood?
Did the players play great, or are hilite orders on the decline?
I suspect both just to keep the peace. lol

finally select printed a number on the card that you can read. i like the gold look of the numbers as well.

Nice little improvement this year. Not actually stamped numbers, but printed to look as though they are.

Numbering looks much better. Wonder what the wait time and price would be if they were to be stamped correctly. I got #18 for my Mitchell. I totally forgot about the Hilites on the day they went for sale, didn’t order mine until about 20mins after they went on sale. I was pretty on the ball last year each week. Wish I had ordered straight away.

To be fair Select didn't choose the Rising Star nomination and Sidebottom was probably as worthy as anyone!
