Select Certified 2017 Official Thread

Who and how was "market" value pricing determained?
On eBay you see the Goal to Goal average $20 give or take and are number out of 285.
Yet last years team leaders where $10 average and numbered out of 220...? I'm confused

Its the day of the release......the race to the bottom has already started.......give it a few days and prices will stabilise.....

Was just seeing if they where prices as I have pre-ordered NRL Elite 2017 boxes and was counting pennies to see if I could get the certified.
 
Team leaders were above $20 on first day also!! People panick and like tk get everything straight away. Hold off and i see alot of the prices dropping significantly. Atm they are alm above last years values and yet a $300 card has been added to each case lol doesnt nake sense
 
For a card of the quality and rarity of the match worn guernsey inserts, the Gunston Hawks inserts are disappointing if Select did in fact decide to go with the away strip per the pictured (from Ebay).

Being a collector, paying top dollar - especially with the price increase on Certified, Select have no reason why they can't source a home guernsey.

Will be keen to see what the patches end up looking like.

Totally agree. Very disappointing. Going to be a hell of a lot of plain white patches if this is the guernsey they have used. I would have been happy with a plain brown or plain gold patch as they are our colours, but not a plain white patch. Lets just cross our fingers this is not the case. Guess we'll start finding out in about a month when the patch cards start being returned.

Exactly, and had we had the chance to get the guernsey sig last year we could have potentially had the chance to redeem the gold premier's AFL logo. The logo pictured is the standard logo.

I think Select cheaped out not paying more for the home guernsey.

What about the Essendon Guernsey card, it doesnt even have a picture of the player. So i would hope now that we know its Hurley that once you redeem the card that they will change the Redemption card with the Essendon logo to a card with a picture of Hurley.

All i can do is hope.
 
The image on the Jack Gunston guernsey signature redemption card is the same one used on the non-signed version so I am guessing - unfortunately - that there will be a lot of very disappointed Hawkers amongst us. The whole reason for a patch card is that is should in some way capture your club's traditional colours, or a part of an AFL or sponsors logo or something meaningful.

Say what you like about Collingwood, but at least their colours don't change! :-)
 
where do you think the FF refractors and influentials will stabilise to?
cos at the moment roughly $500 for the gray refractors and $600 for boak influental is just crazy
id happily not have one if they stay any where near that. different if it was signed etc!!
 
Footy finest are a bit lower generally than new release last year. I reckon finest $100-$300, influential $200-$500, probably big variation depending on clubs

I just hope SC signature will continue one more time in 2018 series II - quite doable even if front-ends are dedicated to a Hall of Fame release. That'd mean Gary would have to be one of them for the Suns and must say I thought Heath was gonna be one for the Giants this year but Lobby will do instead
