Your team for the third Test

@BoondasH1 that gave me a much-needed laugh!! I am honoured to open alongside @The Mad Hatter.....we might be "the hare and the tortoise" though in our respective approach. I'll attempt to hold up an end and nudge singles to long leg....Chris, I'll leave the boundary hitting to you mate!

Happy to have a trundle with my slowly-lobbed almost-backwards medium pacers that have most batsmen in two minds: "do I hit him for four, or six?". Deception is the key here, of course :-)

I can field anywhere that doesn't involve the need for good reactions and/or eyesight :-)

I've oft been compared to Geoff Marsh - when he was good. Still, we could be 0/65 at stumps. Not the worst result.

Lol

Nailed my batting position
Might need a few net sessions
Did come out of retirement 2 seasons ago to help a struggling team for one game so can honestly say I haven't been dismissed or dropped a catch for 20 years lol

This Faf ball controversy looks very bad on his part. When he stuck his finger to the side of his mouth and repeatedly rubbed it was clearly obvious what he was doing. I think a fine is in order...

We make a very good looking team, I must say...

Well that's settled then, @Keatoboy will make sure all half decisions will go our way ;).

@Angry I was going to save you for the Gabba test ;) Latest team update says @nazimcricket can't run.....sooo you may get the call up

@Matty76 That's what I'm here for  oh btw you're in first slip and opening the bowling with me lol

@The Mad Hatter 0/65 I'll take that any day =D>

@220 Ahh the old net sessions, I always bowl and bat better in the nets, come game day it's another story. BTW I do like to reverse the batting order from time to time

@Scotty_WCE Well done on the quick team photo, that actually was a brilliant idea. Love it!!!

It's great to have a little laugh with the way things have panned out. One worrying note came from Brian Lara who said this current side could possibly end updown the same path the great West Indies side did 25 years ago.

What irritates me is that quite often Australia are the innovators.

And when other teams are down, we supply them coaching and tactic nous.

EG : Bayliss to England (right before an Ashes) [with intimate knowledge of the NSW / CA set up and players FFS!!!]. Or Gillespie.

Or coaching in IPL and County Cricket. So we get other teams up.

But oh no, when Australia are down, we just get kicked.

I remember Richie Benaud once, in response to feeling sorry for WI cricket and them getting flogged. He was indignant. No siree. No one cared a feather or a fig when the WI toured almost every summer and destroyed Australian batting line ups. So the WI could cop it now.

So, yeah. We're bad at the moment. It won't last. A new crop always returns. There's so much in interest in the junior levels and at BBL level, new players will arrive. It sucks to watch and wait, but things will get better. I like to whinge and moan in the moment but as I get older, you take a lot of this (like footy) with a pinch of salt.
