Help me decide which 90's parallel set to go for

Looked at every release from the 90's and came up with the below short list. Gonnna get a card from each set to see what they look like in real life. So far have sourced the Ultra Platinum Medallion and the Fleer Classic '61.

96-97 E-X2000 Credential
97-98 Finest Refractor
97-98 Metal Precious Metal Gems - Green/ Red
97-98 Metal Universe Championship Precious Metal Gems
97-98 Skybox Star Rubies
98-99 Fleer Classic '61
98-99 Metal Precious Metal Gems
98-99 Skybox Star Rubies
98-99 Ultra Platinum Medallion

Flair legacy collection parrallel is nice but all the rows and subsets got too confusing to understand.
Still have concerns about the Finest refractor and the whole greening issue.
There are Masterpiece parallels of these sets but nobody could ever put together a complete 1 of 1 set, even if you were the richest man alive.

This is a damn fine set,98-99 is my favourite from the rubies no doubt!

ummm, penny, you do know that the card you're showing is a 1 of 1. It would be impossible to complete that set. Lol.

Only need sample cards from the 1997-98 PMG and star rubies. If anybody has any from that year that they don't mind selling please let me know.

Best possible parallel from the 90's imo? 1996-97 Topps Chrome Refractors! Hands down, no questions asked.

Gosh I couldn't disagree more.

Had a couple in hand and these are so overrated. They'll always have a following because of the strong Rookie class, but any of the Flair Rows are far better in hand. I'd take every other card mentioned already over this set.

But that's just my opinion.

PMG red inbound. Nearly there. Only looking for cards from 3 more sets.

1997 PMG green
1997 Metal championships PMG
1997 Skybox star rubies

Absolutely nuts to think of collecting any pmg or star rubies set.
You'll be paying way overs for most of them as they will reside with player collectors who will want a damn mf premium to part with them.
And as mentioned with the topps finest sets.. the pmgs have a lot of no name players that will cost stupid money to obtain.

I wish you all the best of luck with what ever you do and really look forward to seeing updates as you progress!

eg; heres mine.. my price. 1500aud ;) POP1 insane grade for notoriously bad grading pmgs

2012/13 retros, what a joke.

Very much aware of how much it will cost. Chances are i wont finish the ser but it will be a fun journey.

Btw, you got any pmg, star rubies, or cards from any of the other sets im chasing? :)
