Ive got no courage...

Worst case scenario, you fall in love, get married, she leaves you, takes the kids and the house and breaks your heart and you fall into depression

Best case scenario she rejects you, and you go sleep with her fattier, less pretty best friend, and she never speaks to you again.

What do you have to lose?

Talking to girls was the hardest thing i went through in my late teens to early 20's.
First of all you have to try (it helps with a few drinks or mates to back you up and egg you on).
The first rejection is the hardest, once out of the way you realise it sucks but is not the end of the world (for the record i never copped a slap but some girls are straight up bitches).

One theory a mate of mine had is that for every rejection you are closer to a yes.

Remember all you are doing is talking and the girl is as nervous as you so smile, stay confident say hi and find a common topic.
Once this is achieved then you can sus out how much they are interested in you (you will learn this by experience).
Finally and most importantly if you get this far do not forget one thing.....
get a phone number/email address or else the whole thing is a waste (the reason i say this is too many of my mates get going and just forget to finish) .... in basketball terms its like going up for a dunk and just forgetting to dunk the ball ;) ;)

Now do you think you will see this girl again?

i dont think i will see her again.:( the reception where we went to was 20 mins from around where i live....

lolo... just remeber this..odds are shes just as nervous as you..
So remeber nothing to loose and go for it...:D

so right.. i think she was as nervous as i was. there were a couple of smiles between us.

still cant belive i didnt ask her though..i was going to as well but i just stopped! #-o

Chin up. Sometimes stranger things happen. I believe a bit in fate.... when it suits me... and when it comes to women... I do... kinda... sometimes... anyway... if it's meant to happen with her (for whatever reason and however long) then you two will find a way to have that first conversation.

But I know how you feel. I have no courage at all. But then, I live in Tassie, and there's a bit of a shortage of available lesbians.

Oh yeah, which means maybe I have no real insight... but hey... sorry man

Bargey, you've just outed yourself as a counsellor. Thats funny as hell:lol:

I know it's fairly forward and all Andrew, but you could just try whipping your junk out the next time you come across a good looking sort. You either get a positive or negative reaction and you don't waste a lot of time. That's how I met my wife:thumbsup:

   your not talking about unzipping and flipping are you? if you are, i think ill get put in jail!

Yeh mate. That's the go! I see you don't drink so that might make it hard to do. It's a great move around about closing time. The mad dash at the end of the night where everyone is trying to pick up. Watch out for security tho

I remember doing that once. Nothing came of it for the better though.

I met my wife by going over to her and putting my arm around her. No juice in me either. Just felt like the right thing to do.

Then you could have the luck like my son who went to a new school this year and three girls bailed him up and cornered him.

Hey I'd settle for one nice lass bailing me up and cornering me ;) Three makes it too hard to pick....

wish i went to a school like that, your boy must be doing something right or did he get his dads looks ;) .

The flipping bit reminds me of a story from work. A ladies man did this.. He says to the lady behind the bar "This beer has the best head on it that you have poured all night." She looks over the bar and he has the 'old fella' hanging on the rim of the glass. Happened in Ingham. Funny.

ok, :woot: too much talk about the man below. how good would it be if i bump into her in the future. now that, would be faith;)

do you mean fate? O rmaybe he rname is Faith... wouldn't that be some weird symmetry...

oh I dunno.... I am only here cos I don't have someone to distract me or bitch at me for being on here....

*sigh*

the grass is always greener on the otherside ;)

He thinks he is a bit of a ladies boy. Definately not taking after the fathers looks. But he does have the body for attracting the girls. He is a state goal-keeper and gets a lot of attention from that fact I think. But now his older brother is keeping me up by going to parties. He went to the movies a few months back. I'm going there with Reaghan he says. Turns out Reaghan is a girl and 3 other girls went aswell. 1 boy, four girls.

Seriously I would do anythign to have a ball and chain nagging at me constantly for spending too much time on here, or too much money on cards..... cos the I get to shut it all down and just enjoy being bossed about... *sigh*

Man... I think you were in way too deep that day when you saw her. Your shyness was due to your fear of rejection, you had too much intent to begin with. Imagine if you just walked up to her with no intention on scoring with her, that nothing-to-lose attitude is going to get you quite far from my experience. It's just like your first day at a new school, you just naturally talk to those people sitting around you.

Think of it like this. Every girl you meet from this point onwards, will either be hot and doable or have friends who are hot and doable. Talk to every girl, if they are good, have a go, if not, move on to their friends. There are too many pretty girls in this world for you to drown in sorrow from this failure. Now go out there and get them all!!
