Once upon a time the shoulder charge was a great tackle but unfortunately in the modern era there is too much margain for error, GI's tackle was a near carbon copy of the tackle on Dean Young that saw it banned.

I reckon that should charge from GI was nothing. I was surprised to hear that GI misses 3 weaks and dugan needs surgery. Just another question, when a player is taken off for injury and a replacement is brought in, does it count for an interchange?

It's 25 years now since I last played and as a smaller bloke in the forwards I had 2 trick plays which are now outlawed in the modern game, I was pretty good at regaining possession by raking the ball back in the play the ball and could usually pull off a good shoulder charge but in a game against Orange CYMS at Wade Park I missed and near elbowed the other player in the head but hyper-extended and played injured for the rest of the season

Look at how many cop suspension for getting the ball carrier in a dangerous position even when they place them back on the ground without injury.
Compare that to a illegal tackle that breaks a player jaw and only gets 3 weeks.

Mmmmm there was nothing wrong with that hit? The commentary said exactly the same, K

It is Blair in general though. The half has gotten rid of the ball and he still has to flatten them with what was all but a shoulder charge.

I didn't say that hit was late. I said that Blair does hit late often but always makes unnecessary contact off the ball. He will end someone's career one day

I am not saying this because it's a Broncos player but if your complaining about this hit soon Rugby League will end up like the "Lock out" laws which was placed in Sydney a few years ago, boring and soft. Sorry but it's a fact every team has a hit man like Blair, K.
