To my detriment I am one of those who picks a team mid week and due to a combo of work, kids and forgetfulness rarely make changes.

This is my fourth year playing (second as a part of this comp) and I have heard of it but don't know/understand it lol. Totally with you on the whole setting and that's it concept. If I have any free time over the weekend, it's used purely to score check.

Mate the loophole, whilst I agree is ethically questionable, is allowed. It's not a fault of the software it is a strategy endorsed by the folk who run SC. I'd say it rarely happens in our league and often works out worse for the person who makes the play.
