Official ESP 2016 NRL Traders Thread (Sell Sheet Page 14)

2016 Elite (Here is an example of a good series 2 set should it remain $9 per pack again)

Commons; 144; drab gray as usual; 8 per pack plus one insert making 9 cards per pack again and all packs to contain an insert!

Gold Reserves (144); 1:3 packs
These are like a gold parallel set and based on the format of commons. Difference is however, all players to be different to common cards, redemption parallels, ruby mojos and black diamonds, many in which a yet to make their debut at first grade level. (So don't panic collectors, only one low-end insert this series (hopefully!).

City versus Country (48); 1:6 packs
This sub series to commemorate the running of this origin class from the past few seasons. 24 players per side, printed on gloss background of either blue or green depending what depicted side.

Cream of the Crop (48); 1:6 packs
Arguable similar to Triple Threats from 2013 Elite and Pride and Passion from 2014 Elite. 3 players per club, printed on cream-bronze foil board.

Club Champions (32); 1:12 packs
Same insert as last year, all different designs

Origin Heroes (32); 1:12 packs
16 of your favorite players whom represent NSW and same for drill for QLD. All players printed on either blue or maroon, eye catching board.

Awards Winners 2015 (9); 1:24 packs
Arguable same insert reinstated from old Select series. Additional awards to be included as well as Dally M, Churchill, Rookie-of-year etc. One slab of 10x24 boxes to acquire this entire mini series.

Young Guns unsigned; (48); 1:24 packs
Unsigned YGs this year individually numbered numbered to 130.

Parallel Redemption (16); 1:48 packs
As someone suggested in this forums, there should be a higher-end parallel series between gold and mojo. I agree, so here it is. Yes these are all the same players as the commons however due to the higher-end nature, it should not disappoint. Team sets to be obtained via a redemption card pulled from packs. All players this time printed on foil board according to a predominant colour of their club (think 2013 Traders parallel to an extent), plus each individually numbered to 200.

Elite Hexes (48); 1:48 packs
This set same as Elite Quads as last year but this time includes central positions as well as fronts and backs. Similar designs also yet still individually numbered to 65. This makes eighty in total card from last year should someone build this set as well as last year.

Young Gun Signatures (16); 1:72 packs
Again, only one of the unsigned used as a signature and each of course individually numbered to 130.

Jersey cards Silver unsigned (6); 1:160 packs; individually numbered to 150

Ruby Mojo Packs (16): 1:240 packs; individually numbered to 40

Jersey cards Gold Signed (6); 1:480 packs; individually numbered to 50

Premiership 2016 Redemption (1); 1:480 packs

Black Diamond Ultimate Mojo Packs (16); 1:720 packs; individually numbered to 13. (YES THIRTEEN!)

There seems to be heaps in your set.

I think the make up of the elite was right but priced wrong in 2015

I like where you are going, not sure im keen on the number of lower end inserts as I feel they would end up being devalued, but that may happen anyway as it seems to with ESP releases. The other problem is that city v country is limited to just NSW players, meaning that firstly they will be replicated in the origin set, and secondly it only appeals to a small subset of the collector base, i.e only NSW supporters and/or individual player collectors. I think a better option would be to do something with the Auckland 9s, potentially you could do a full squad insert set for each team - actually surprised this isn't a separate release for ESP..

Anyway, these are some other changes I would make to your suggestions:

Young Guns unsigned; (48); 1:24 packs
Unsigned YGs this year individually numbered numbered to 130.
1:12 packs numbered to 260

Young Gun Signatures (16); 1:72 packs
Again, only one of the unsigned used as a signature and each of course individually numbered to 130.
2 per team so total of 32, 1:24packs, numbered to 195

Jersey cards Gold Signed (6); 1:480 packs; individually numbered to 50
I assume you mean gold foil - im not a fan of most gold ink sigs.
I would also increase this to 8 players (1 from each of the teams in the top 8 from last year) - or 4 players from each QLD/NSW as there is an origin theme through the rest of the release. Again you could do 4 from the final 4 finals and 4 from Auckland nines, or 4 (2 each side) from the all stars/indigenous game, lots of options here. The biggest thing being that they are the best/most popular players, no one wants another Corey Thompson jersey card...
Also - 1:240 ratio and numbered to 80

Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing would be some inserts from the Holden Cup, could even do one of the signatures as Holden Cup Stars, so Holden Cup Stars 1:48 and Young Gun Sigs 1:48 being that you get one or the other per box. However I think this might be a problem for the NRL with promoting the younger players, I remember reading somewhere that ESP were limited on who they could put as young guns as the NRL wanted to protect their younger players from having too much pressure on them.

Okay so I think we now know or suspect who a few of the signatures are so I thought I would start a list of possibles, rumoured and confirmed. Feel free to add your two cents!

Brisbane: Thaiday (rumoured)
Canberra: Wighton / Croker (possibles)
Canterbury: Reynolds / Graham (possible)
Cronulla: Ennis / Graham (possible)
Gold Coast: Burr CONFIRMED
Manly: Stewart / Lyon (possibles)
Melbourne: Slater CONFIRMED
Newcastle: Uate / Mullen (possibles)
North Qld: Morgan / Hannant (possibles)
Parramatta: Watmough / Norman (possibles)
Penrith: Whare / McKendry (possibles)
Souths: Keary / Reynolds (possibles)
St George: Widdop / Dugan (possibles)
Sydney: Ferguson / Taukeiaho (possibles)
New Zealand: Lillyman / Lolohea (Possibles)
Wests: Lawrence (rumoured)

Legends have been rumoured as Menzies & Langer

I just want to see if there's Galactic Whatevers and they still look good, and if there's some other decent looking inserts too

I skipped traders last year but with a sig I'm certainly interested again. 1 per box would be great and seal the deal for me. 1 per case and I reckon I'd just buy the sig I want and not collect the series again.

Any body else want to see a Taumalolo sig???

1 per box would turn me from ZERO interest in traders to high likelihood of busting some stuff, I just dont see it happening... Haven't decided if Ill pick up the slater sig yet, but with no checklist and limited info being released prior there is no way im pre-ordering anything.

I am led to believe the one per team signatures in Traders will be a case hit /100

At $4 PP there is no way this release could support a signature per box however IMO this is a must for Elite at $9 PP

I believe so but it depends on the production run. I could be wrong but 15 Traders was about 21,000 boxes?

If so that would be 18 signatures so one per team and two more
