10 years since Kobe dropped 81 on Toronto

I was camping with mates, we just happened to decide to go in to town for a late lunch to avoid the heat for a while and for the first time in days I'd had reception. My phone blew up with text messages as it was happening! I then watched the game when I got back a few days later.

I was actually at my old apartment in Cleveland at the time. I was planning to go to Gold Coast for a week in early February, and I was booking tickets online to go there via Sydney. My computer was having a couple of problems, so I got bored and turned on the TV. My computer had now loaded, so I saw a guy from the apartments across from me staring at the TV with wide eyes, so I looked over at was on. It turned out Kobe had 75 points at the time. I was gob smacked, definitely one of the highlights of the decade!

I can't remember where I was, but Kobe went crazy. He had some ridiculous games that year. He had 60 at 3 qtr time vs somebody else.
Kobe # 8 was a bad man.
That someone else was the Dallas Mavericks.

I read that since his 81 point peformance Kobe was the the next highest scorer at 65 points, not sure if that's legit but he's a scoring machine!!!

pretty sure that the 65 pt outburst is correct. I think Melo has come closest at 62. Could be wrong tho.
