NRL 2016

Well... not really an error if you drop the ball backwards. it was definitely not a pass. he didnt intend to give the ball away. however he dropped it back and hunt picked it up. I'm still sticking to my thoughts that hunt is at blame

Fair enough, each to their own. Milford didn't deserve the Churchill IMO though. Morgan or Granville were my picks

would have to say that 9 tackle busts and 190 metres is quite impressive for a five eigth!

i can see how milford would get stats like that as he has to compensate for lack of ability he has in his kicking game (unfortunately those stats don't provide players kicking game), when you bring that into it, which is part of his job as a five-eight for me he doesn't deserve the churchill medal, the kicking game came mostly from hunt and also the reason why hunt was targeted more during the game, this allowed milford to run the ball more. For me a couple of others deserved more before him.

Granville or Morgan should have received Churchill

Premiers: Broncos

Minor Premiers:
Manly

Grand Final:
Cowboys/Broncos

Wooden Spoon:
cant go past Titans

Most Improved:
Manly, Warriors if Johnson stays fit

Biggest Sliders:
Roosters :)

First Coach Sacked:
Jason Taylor

State of Origin:
QLD 3-0

Dally M:
pressures off, JT by heaps

Best Signing:
plenty of good signings by Parra and Manly along with Roberts to Broncos but RTS & Luke to Warriors for the win

Auckland Nines Winner:
Shark

Premiers: Brisbane (you have to lose one to win one)

Minor Premiers:
Brisbane (will win this in a canter)

Grand Final:
Brisbane vs Roosters (Roosters will surprise the experts who expect them to slide this year but they still have a star studded roster and a great coach)

Wooden Spoon:
Titans (Lost to many quality players in the off season and their play maker Elgey already out for the season)

Most Improved:
Sea Eagles (Trent Barrett will have them a much better defensive unit. Their back line is still one of the best)

Biggest Sliders:
Souths (Not enough depth in squad)

First Coach Sacked:
Jason Taylor (Tigers) - an unhappy squad (in-fighting, lies, secrets etc)

State of Origin:
NSW 2 - 1 (Despite their experience and quality squad, Kev Walters will find the transition very tough and Laurie Daley will rack one up over him)

Dally M:
Anthony Milford (Brisbane) just edging out Jonathan Thurston (Cowboys) and D.C.E (Manly)

Best Signing:
Can't split between James Maloney (Gives the sharks a quality half to get the ball out to the likes of Holmes and Bird) and Elliott Whitehead (Raiders) who is a quality pommy back-rower.

Auckland Nines Winner:
Eels (always competitive in this format of the game)

Rookie of the Year: Jayden Nikorima (Roosters) - like his brother, a quality player with a big career ahead of him
