Just wondering if the exchange rate being AU$1=US83c (the highest the Aus Dollar has been in almost 20 years) is having any influence over peoples buying decisions at the moment...I guess we're mainly talking about those that buy from US Ebay and the like.
Considering the exchange rate was AU$1=US48c around 6-7 years ago we can get much better deals/value for money at the moment.:D
Just interested in others thoughts on this....

I hope the exchange rate stays about the same as it is now when the higher end stuff like exquisite and ultimate are released!

Would be a great help when buying of US ebay!

Cheers
Matt

i dont really mind if im buying just 1-2 cards from the U.S. its only when i buy Jerseys and memorabilia that costs heaps and ticks me off.

I voted Yes !

It is also good for me because I am about to travel to the Caribbean to watch the CWC and it is all US$$$ over there :D

Won't make me buy more, but I have realised that US purchases are now slightly cheaper than when @ 75c. Means I have more money left over at the end of the week, and I can start saving.

It's nice that things are getting a bit cheaper but when I see a Moses card I need for the PC the exchange rate doesn't matter much.

We get a good exchange rate than Paypal rips us off with their own rates.

At least it is a bit better.

WHAT!!!!!!! u lucky B#$%^#$%^@#%^!!!!

As for the topic - yes makes a difference to me - makes me less guilty when I blow $ on cards. NZ $ is also at an all time high...

Definitely makes me want to buy a bit more, but it will only really count on the big things cos a 5% exchange rate diff on a $5 item only makes a 25c difference.

Generally, I'd say it helps. I havent been buying much at all lately, really.

The bigER purchases I've made, it's helped (especially my Jersey & Hat).

just a quick note, the CPI figures came out today and they were lower than expected , this means there is little chance of a rate hike and the AUD has already slipped to around 0.82.
