Probably means there wasn't much interest in resellers stocking huge quantities of this product.

As great as the Cowboys are, they wouldn't have that many collectors willing to shell out for this release I would think.

No doubt ESP would have been hoping for a Broncos win.

You are joking on what you have said Matt ....I HAD over 45 sets sold PRE SALE and I am only 1 seller so you can`t tell me there is no interest in the Cowboys ....

Happy to admit I might be wrong on this one, no doubt demand North of the Border will be strong for these.

beginning of the end of ESP producing nrl cards, i think they will cut their losses & stop printing these cards.

I should not but in here. I think what Mat meant was not many dealers from the southern states where interested in stocking amounts of the cowboys. Just read the rest of the thread. Knew I should have stayed out of it.

What a strange decision but nothing really surprises me anymore with ESP.
I think it is a poor decision by ESP. Although history has displayed there on the same track. The one and only thing I could think of, if the cowboys club bought the whole release and this is the only way to purchase these cards. All funds raised are going to build the new stadium.
Unfortunately the club may be stuck carry the cost of them.

For me the most alarming thing is that prior to the Cows scooping all sets up ESP had arranged for another seller to have complete control of the reselling.

I find this ridiculous, it is the re-sellers / dealers that keep this hobby alive and now not only are they missing out on profit for their business but many collectors will be deprived or forced to pay overs on the secondary market if they can't secure a set through the Cows.

As I have previously mentioned ESP have shown some great ideas and initiatives but really seem to over complicate but should be a very simple and enjoyable hobby. The amount of members on this site alone who have stopped collecting or significantly downgraded their collection is crazy and this site is only a very small portion of the hobby!

In my 5 years back in the hobby I am yet to see a series one box of Select dumped back on the market for less than 2/3 of it's release price yet you can get a box of 13, 14, 15 Traders for $50 delivered!

Last year they did the regular Premiers set for Souths (Green). And an exclusive Souths club set (red) only available at the club. They were $80 now $40. Am ever so happy the exclusive set has been devalued in 12 months.

this is ridiculous. anyone know how much longer they have the contract for? i was hoping they would've went broke by now. they must be making a shit ton of cash from their other products because they continually get worse and worse and stupider and stupider in terms of their cards. Tak's already mentioned it but why is the secondary market any of their business. They're like that person that worries about what everyone else is doing instead of just worrying about themselves and sorting their own shit out. Sooner they relinquish the license the better. i know there were complaints when select was around but the sooner they come back the better, at least then the cards were worth something.

If not less, they have proved time and time again they are only interested in the super quick dollar and f everyone else.
A few dealers have been screwed over of late by ESP/esp.
The sooner a company that does it on a fair basis for all comes along the better.

I often wonder if im the only person to have even a slightly positive word to say about ESP as theyve been really good to me.

Possibly tap n play to have the licence next?

Tap N Play are learning from the mistakes and keep getting better. Would love to see them do NRL
