Scanlens football card numbers from 1981

These are from a 1981 RLW that I read recently. Number seems a bit high to me for 1981.

26 000 000 hey. So 144444.44 of each card
Also had this article in same mag re Ardmona cards

anyway interesting numbers and nice T-Shirt

Perhaps they are talking all years = 26,000,000,000 not just 1981 as those figures simply dont add up.

I dont believe that they made that many Rugby League cards, more than likely including AFL( which i reckon to be 60-70% of that figure), that is why they say 'footy cards". And dont forget the game cards which there were a lot of.

It says the company has printed 26 million cards this I would say since its beginning from 1963. Just another journo talking it up to read they printed that many in 1981. There are not as many 81 cards as dynamic they printed 26 million for 1 series

I came across a company in 2001 that had just finnished using 1981 uncut sheets as packing on pallets before products were put on and wrapped.
So I would not doubt the numbers.
