OK, I admit this is poor form on my part. I couldn't tell you how many times I have bought a bunch of cheap boxes, taken a pic of them all together and with all good intentions of posting the results. Then, after breaking the boxes being so disappointed with the result not bothering to post anything after all. Luckily enough for me I collect a sh!tload of players and base as well, so not hitting a nice card isn't the end of the world and I still add a heap into the PC at the end of the day.
So yesterday afternoon was shaping up to be more of the same. Picked some boxes up from Sonny (TCAC) and took them home. Took a picture:
And then proceeded to break.
2005-06 SP looked interesting, managed to get a Dwyane Wade base card for the PC but the other 2 were pretty bad - a Jason Richardson base and an expired redemption card of Pam? somebody. I had to half close my eyes when I looked at the name on the redemption hoping that it wasn't a Jordan - I don't think I would have been successful with a 6 year expired redemption.
Opened the contenders next, purely bought the 2012-13 stuff hoping to land the all-elusive Anthony Davis RC auto. A few Lebron cheap inserts and plenty more cheap PC cards to add to collection and the box was done and dusted. Also a few terrible autos and GU you'll probably see floating around ebay at 99 cents.
Thought I'd go a nicer one for the third box so went with Intrigue. Busted open the Intriguing Players pack and slid them across looking for the strip of gold - not to be seen. Then opened up the other pack, had a look at the side and remember thinking 'OK looks like there could be a patch in here, one of the cards is quite thick'. So got the first base and put it in a sleeve, a mini-win for me as I didn't yet have just a base Intrigue card and it was Steph Curry so was quite happy. Then notice a Gortat 1/10 base variant thinking OK, good start. Put that it in a sleeve. Forgot all about a thick card being in there and as I went to get the first auto, the cards on top of the thick one slid and exposed something I have seen before, but never in a pack I've opened lol. You'll see what I mean in a sec, I knew what it was but I hadn't seen the player and just had my fingers crossed as I kept sliding the other (now insignificant) cards......

I promise from now that I will post all results and not just the good ones. The rest of the boxes were below average (to put it nicely) but there is no way you'll here me complain.
