Brandon Hayward's contract. He's on waivers through the amnesty clause, but the mavs are still paying the difference between his mammoth contract at the time and what ever he gets now. Effectively, if the nets can pay him what ever they like to make the $$ match and the Mavs keep paying what's left.

As of 16/17 the cap jumps but the amount of roster spots and available talent stays the same, so EVERYONE will get paid more.
Any player signing a multi year deal this year will only move team and commit if their offer reflects the increases from next year.
$7.5 for Joseph is expensive this season, but it will average out over the next few.
Tristan Thompson getting $20per is just the same!
Danny Green was a great buy at $11per based on this.
Anyway, $7.5 would only just get Cojo a house in the Burbs in Perth these days!
Franchise are paying ridiculously because the know the cap is going to sky rocket..some of these deals are going to be steals. But to be honest every big name is locked up for the next four to 5 Years. Only players really worthy of obtaining in 2016 free agency is durant, Al horford, bradley beal every one else is average or 2nd tier not a great class of free agents this yeard pool had alot of names

I for one, think that as much as the lockout hurt us all - the positive effect the CBA has had on the free agency period is fantastic. By adjusting the bargaining terms by giving players the players more incentive to stay with their current team and by making it much more punitive for the big cities to overpay the Free Agency period has become a spectacle in itself.
Who would have thought that just 3 years ago, #NBAFreeAgency would be a top 20 trending term on twitter for an entire week! It really is as exciting as the draft lottery, draft night and to an extent the NBA Finals. By adding this, the NBA has made another step to becoming a year round competition - no longer being forgotten about for 3 months after the finals finish up and before the pre-season games take off.
