Lebron not awarded finals MVP?

the standard had become that the winning team has the finals mvp. given that, it was curry who was the focal point of the cavs' defense, and the one scoring most of the points and assists on the warriors' end. even if iguodala was great for a few stretches, curry was still carrying the dubs on his back.

i was rooting for the cavs, and lebron got my vote, but yeah @araiee, i share your sentiments exactly.

Curry got "carried" by Klay at one point too remember.

There was no way Curry was gonna win without an extraordinary game 4-5-6 after the 'Great Delly Incident' of G2-3

How can you simply say Warriors would have won without Iggy??

What are you basing it on? The Overtime win in Game 1? Or the losses in Game 2&3?

Push Iggy into 35+ minutes and they start winning. Not a coincidence folks!!!!

I do see what you are saying Ads..but I still think Curry was still far more important to the cause...yeah he had a stinker game or two...but also had some big fourth quarters, I would even put draymond green in front of iggy for mvp, with iggy third on that team because Klay was the forgotten man and really should have had the ball more/freed up for more open shots as he is a gun and didn't get his dues really after battling on defence....

key phrase being, "at one point". the rest of the way, all you heard was curry, curry, curry.

lebron got robbed on this one. it was no different for kobe in '06, when he was clearly The Most Valuable Player.

no, they didn't win the chip in '06. i'm saying nobody since can equal his outburst back then. that's why he ought to have won regular season mvp that year. hello? best player on the season?

Its as simple as this. There is no way the NBA today is going to give a player from the losing team the award. Regardless of what numbers or how well they played. Its all about image. If lebron did get it there would be a lot more controversy than iggy winning it. The NBA protects their image and just gives it to a player from the winning team.
