COMC Mailbox Thread

Paypal's new site doesn't seem to let you use international addresses, which is a bit of a problem for COMC mailbox users.. they seem to have deleted them even on the 'classic site'..

Damn, did this just the other day by switching to classic site, but no longer works :(
That sucks

hey fellas sorry if it's been mentioned before (most likely) but with COMC's processing fee hike from $1 to $2 is there any other slower processing fee to select from or is it just standard now?

For the mailbox thats it.

The other option is the bulk send in which is about 2 months.

I haven't used the mailbox since the new fees came into effect. However I have been following the discussion on Blowout. Are things as bad as some of the forum posts are suggesting? i.e Financial problems, extreme shipping delays...etc.

I still have around 50 cards and $150 credit sitting in my account, I may as well spend all my credit now and send my cards home if things are really that bad.

I hope not! I had planned on reading through the BO thread later tonight. I've got almost 100 cards waiting to be shipped home. I might have to get them sent back tonight if what you are saying is true.

I hope COMC can right the ship as the service they provide has saved me so much money or if you look at it the other way they have provided me with the opportunity to own a lot of cards that I wouldn't have been able to if they weren't around.

Surely if they weren't able to continue their service someone else would step up and provide a similar service.

In my opinion the posts on Blowout regarding financial difficulties might be a bit far fetched. Most of the complaints tend to be geared towards slow processing/shipping, delayed fulfillment of cashout requests, high fees and poor service/attitude across the board. Even so, it does make you wonder what happens to all the cards and remaining credit if they were to go under.

Yes, quite a few of the posts on BO are pretty much dramatic speculation, but my interactions with COMC post-moe (and the weeks leading up to Moe's termination), don't exactly leave me with confidence in their management.

I love the idea of the service, but not so much the execution;

In saying that, this past week I've had really quick card processing times (like 4-5 days). Not sure the reasoning behind it...

And the explanations given for the poor service (damaged cards, packages sent to the wrong locations). COMC always had someone else to blame for their screw-ups.

Yep , no matter how well you prove your point, they will always blame someone else. I was told by Nathan that the reason why 1/3 of my cards from every shipment are placed in wrong sized supplies is because: A. The original sender has no idea about card sizes or B. Companies make cards in awkward sizes, therefore appropriate supplies do not exist.

I just shipped my mailbox home today. I unfortunately have to ship again in a fortnight as there were a few stragglers from sellers being very slow to ship (10 days or more). However that clears out my inventory apart from a few cards I got listed for sale which, if they do sell, I'll probably just flip for some super cheap PC base cards or similar.

Such a huge mailday to come. Likely my best yet. (Yes I know I say this every single time)

Sellers on comc are retarded. They have offers accepted on their cards, but when you offer on a bunch of cards they just get declined. F me, stick ya cards somewhere else and have them rot on their for years. Who else is going to buy your Walt Williams base cards.
I was just searching this thread to make a very similar comment.

I am finding that there are cards on the site that have not moved in price since they were added. Maybe during the initial hype of product release the cards were worth the price the sellers want but since then the prices have dropped. Half the time it is cheaper for me to wait and win a card for $0.99 plus shipping plus $2 COMC fees. If it is a more expensive card I just wait for it to show up on eBay and pick it up for as little as 30% of the price on COMC inclusive of all the fees.

Maybe COMC should have the selling port set up so if a card is not sold within a period of time (6 months?) it is removed as a sale item and placed back into the sellers mailbox. There would be exceptions to the rule like cards less than $5-10 etc. I'm sick of looking at the same cards up for sale for ridiculous prices.

Yes there are exceptions to the above as I do purchase most of my low end cards from COMC but some sellers really need to do some research into the actual value of their cards.

I sent an offer in on a $2.75 card at $2
The seller then countered $2.75

I then sent back $2.25
Seller then changed price to $3.75 and rejected my price.

The same card is still there for $3.75

I don't mind people selling cards for what they want but to blatantly then change the price when someone has shown interest is a disgrace.
Most of the time it's all good on COMC but this one particular joker had me laughing :)

It's not a base card but I may have purchased this recently! haha!
