I have always been in favour of the video referee because we all know the on field referees or touch judges, just cannot be at the exact point or see the exact situation. So the video referee is so important in my opinion at all times(i know it sounds like NFL) but any decision can and is a game changer at any time.
I agree with the fact you present about no endurance, yet they reckon players of these days are fitter which i disagree with, that relates to interchange rules. These days we have some very athletic players that produce phenomal pieces of play that need rewarding when applicable, basically get rid of the interchange so that once you are replaced then that is it. The big players these days produce very little and are so boring. Australia and NSW are a perfect example of this.IMO Video ref reviews should be limited to Try's only. Get rid of all the time wasting during a game, if something is missed, tough luck, read about it in Monday's paper. There's no endurance or attrition in the game anymore, everyone is 6ft 4 weighs 120Kg because you only need power not endurance because there are to many breaks in play, reviews, scrums, penalties, injuries, drop outs etc etc it drives me mad at times.
