I know that it could be a little premature however there has been some chatter around PG returning this season with PG himself placing the following on Twitter.

Personally, I would love to see him out there again this season. He would do the world of good to the Pacers.

Here's hoping to a continued speedy recovery and that he himself feels well enough to come back even if it is just for some bench minutes.

Unless they are in a position to make the post season, it's not worth returning.
I completely agree. The risk is not worth the reward.

But, on the other hand PG himself may have the goal of playing again this year which, after the doctors approval, may see him take the court whether they are in contention for the playoffs or not.

heres a write up on ESPN

Imho east is weak enough to be able to make a push for a playoff berth but is it really worth it ? they will be going against the top of the east on a depleted Pacers squad with a PG whos coming back from a ruthless injury.
I'f he's ready to go he's ready to go but if you are trying to make sure your looking after your future (similiar thing happened to Rose) where he reinjured himself again.

I would take the Lose and look towards next year.

Paul is amazing to watch so i would personally love to see him back out their this season rather than next !.

I'm a big fan of PG and really want to see him back, but not with any risk of re-injuring himself! But surely the Pacers organisation are wise enough to know not to bring him back too soon? Hell, every second person would realise that!
Go Pacers!
