Katie Cassidy autos in Arrow and Supernatural...

A real pity that Amell didn't sign, this release actually looks pretty good. I saw a few eps of the show, but lost touch with it, might try and catch up with it. Have been watching the Flash though, and wouldn't mind adding a Emily Bett Rickards to the autograph collection...

I have one box on the way (along with Contenders) to bust and see what they are like. I am aiming for a Emily Bett Rickards auto definitely!

I found FLash as alright, but enjoy Arrow a lot more. I think it's more to the fact he is more a "normal" guy and not struck by lighting to get his powers

I'd have a stab, but with the Aussie dollar falling it looks a bit rich at $80 a box... I see blowout are doing a break...have to check it out...

Yeah I put myself down for a two spots in that break which was a bit cheaper than buying a second box basically. It looks like there are about 14 autos a case too, which will add extra value to the break.

Yep done a couple. Done a DC New 52 (which I ended up with 3 decent sketches from) and a couple in NFL assorted breaks. Never had an issue. I normally just get them shipped to my COMC mailbox though.

It helps that there looks to be an extra couple autos a case, plus printing plates and the gold /40 inserts that look to be about 1 a box too that were previously unkown.

Yeah, I've asked if the guy's okay with me going in...I might take a couple of spots...there's a couple of autos in there I wouldn't mind, just need to end up in the top half of the draw I guess....don't know that I'd bother getting base sets or anything shipped if I end up right down the bottom though...

Nah I wouldn't bother with the base or insert sets. If I end up with one of those spots I will probably just sell the spot cheap to someone else

I see they are finally out the Arrow cards yay

BUT

I usually collect Wardrobe cards but there is a whopping 16 different characters in the 1st release. CRAZY

Think i will just go for the main cast i dont want to get 16 of them

Might try and get a Emily Bett Rickards auto as she is hot but i did just look and her auto is rubbish

It was mentioned on BO today that Amell has risen the cost of his autos on comic books recently, so maybe this has something to do with it.

I had a look on ebay as i would like to get a signed Arrow signed pic and they are everywhere at a very decent price so i cant work out why they couldnt get him to sign?

Yeah I'm not sure why they could not get Amell to sign. Everything I have seen / heard is he is a very willingly signer, even signing packages for people who buy his wine.

I sometimes wonder if it's the way the card companies go about it, might make the star think the card company is going to make big money of them signing or something...or maybe the quantities they ask for just sound too daunting or something...

When you think it makes their autograph accessible to so many more fans, not sure why anyone wouldn't want to do it to be honest...

I also think that sometimes the efforts the card companies go to mightn't be that great either. Supposedly Molly Quinn of Castle didn't even know there were Castle trading cards when she was shown them by fans, and she signed for the latest set but supposedly she "didn't sign" for the first release.. Could also be that the stars are never hearing about the cards and it's the publicist/agent/assistant knocking the card company back just because it's easier?

I think that bottom part is bang on!! Maybe they decide the money isn't worth it? Or they just can't be bothered because they see it as pointless?

So now it's looking like the Cassidy isn't in the Arrow auto set either....10 cases opened on blowout and not one pulled.....and none on Ebay by the looks...seems they might have dropped her out without telling anyone ??

I wonder if Cassidy is just very SP due to having to re-sign the cards, because Cassidy is still on their website with a new photo of her card and on their checklist which as been updated with pictures of the redemptions. Or a bunch of cases packed later on will have her in bulk...

Hmmm I dunno... :cautious: I'm not 100% convinced...I can't find a photo anywhere, besides the one on the website - which might still be a mock up for all we know!

Sorry I blame Panini for my untrusting ways...LOL!!!

I don't blame you! Between the fiasco that was this release, Panini and the Flawless nightmare (amongst others!), Upper Deck's failure with Marvel Premier, and Topps awful customer service and redemption system.... it's a frustrating hobby sometimes

Hope I'm wrong, but if it's a collation issue, I suppose that'll be the next complaint...if you bought a few of the early cases and still don't have all the auto's, you're not going to be happy!

Interestingly there's been a small shift in Topps lately, while nothing to do with redemptions or service, whoever is running their Star Wars facebook has been really good with getting out info and answering questions and stuff. I know it's not much and it's all about their upcoming latest high end product, but wouldn't it be nice if it flowed through to other areas of their business ??? One can only hope.... Or you can just tell me I'm dreamin' ! ;)
