Almost done backscanning some cards into the old 'bucket'....

Thought I'd get through some patches first - nothing PC here so all up for grabs, bit of buyer's remorse actually - need the funds!!!!

Will start out slow and end up pretty slow too - lol

Steven Hunter - really liked this guy a s a prospect, average rebounder but was a definite rim protector. Lacked the bulk to defend the monsters in the pant though. Rare for a card to have much more colour on the back than the front!

Sean Williams SPx /25 - Love the shimmery green toxic gas background effect. Nice Nets 3 colour patch. Another rim protector who had hops to spare - such a waste of talent.

Shelden Williams HP /10 - Best thing about his game was his nickname "The Landlord". Double -double guy if given the minutes but too one dimensional to be anything more than a backup, pretty big bust for the #5 overall pick. Sweet looking card though!

Salim Stoudamire Exquisite /225 - Instant O off the bench but 6-1 SGs who can't run an offense are always going to struggle to find a role. Is Exquisite......is good!

Jerricho Cotchery Abs Mem #25/25 - ebay 1/1! Saw a jumbo patch for cheap and an ebay 1/1 to boot! First ever NFL card.

Let's plug ourselves back into the Basketball 'Matrix'...

Shawn Marion /25 - One of the most versatile forwards the game has seen in a while. Surely not many years left for the veteran....

Evan Turner /455 - note to card manufacturers, collectors don't like manufactured patches! How he doesn't have a bigger role on the Celtics blows my mind! If he an outside shot coupled with his basketball savvy he'd be an absolute beast!

Let's move onto some better stuff....Immaculate RPAs /75

Kevin Murphy /75 - Kid can score.... Minus points for the piping patch and a sticker auto.

Bernard 'Sarge' James /75 - Noticably missing the little RC logo in the bottom left corner... For some reason curvy, rounded patches always look better...

Lavoy Allen /75 - Surely more talented big men than this guy. He just keeps on grinding away

Jordan Hamilton /75 - Simple patch but love it. Even a 'dummkopf' like me can figure out where this patch is from on the jersey....and that's why I like it! Seriously under-rated player, how he isn't in an NBA rotation is mind boggling...get a new agent fella!

Quincy Acy /75 - Don't stare directly at the beard! If you do, you might not notice this great kick azz patch! Looks like he's a Derek Fisher favourite!

Jan Vesely /75 - First ever Euro big man who can't shoot. FG% 50%+, career FT% 40.8%. Guy can motor up and down the court, rebound (good on the offensive glass) and block a few shots. Great transition player for a run n gun team. Somebody get the Warriors on the line...

Royce White /75 - My fave college prospect in quite some time hasn't even strung together a few NBA games yet. Prodigious waste of talent...

Myers Leonard /75 - First they brought in Ro Lo, then it was the Caveman, now behind Freeland too. Don't know how he went from being a lottery pick to falling out of favour so quickly. Needs (and deserves) some PT!

Brain Roberts /55 - a patch this big and filthy can't be replicated 75 times! Cee-ex-eeeeeee!

Tyler Zeller /75 - another thick jaw dropping patch. Surely not that far behind Sullinger and
Olynyk in terms of talent...

Marshon Brooks /75 - The one man wreckign crew (on offense), guy has a big bag of offensive skills and hopefully we see him again in the NBA! Pacers could use some scoring firepower right about now! Sweet four colour patch too....

Finally, what's better than a patch???????

A tag perhaps????????

Or maybe four tags????????

Tag Team Quad /10 - Love / E Gordon / Augustin / J Alexander

Nice bit of the Bobcat and T-Wolves logos. If someone could help with where the other two tags are from that would be great...

Nothing major this time around, small PC mailday coming up soon. Until then thanks for stopping by and having a look and a read...as always any comments are most appreciated.

Nice lot there mate, would have to say my fave is the Marshon Immac!!!

He probably has one of the nicer sigs too - can't argue with a 4 colour, 4 break patch....

Love the Brian Roberts, he has some potential!

He had later start in the NBA than most but the guy can flat out shoot and score when he wants to, just has to get the minutes first!

Love the commentary mate, actually found it so interesting I read everything from top to bottom haha nice cards too!

Plenty of solid patches there mate and nice write ups as normal. The quad tag is nasty too. Looking at the Stephen hunter card reminds me how much I loved those Magic jerseys during the T-man/Hill era, I would chuck Kemp into there as part of that error, but we know how that went, haha.

Some quality patchy goodness there mate, nicely done!

I'm not a big patch fan (especially given all the controversy) but the few decent ones I have are pretty darn good....

dam i love that tag. cant gk past the old fleer.

Old Fleer, when patches were patches and not 'prime'! I think you love the Love!

Love the commentary mate, actually found it so interesting I read everything from top to bottom haha nice cards too!

Wait til I get started on another monologe of a mailday! I like the story behind each player and card even the scrubs have a story to tell!

Yeah they were pretty good looking jerseys, too bad they had some of the most injury prone players like Hill... I remember they brought in Kemp to replace Ewing, quite a sad way to end his career, big overweight guy shooting jumpers - they might as well have signed me if I was about a foot taller! lol

As usual love your mailday Skip ! Very pleasant cards here ! Thanks for sharing

Tiphaine! Haven't seen you online for a long time! Hope all is well!

You are mail days are always interesting, this one is no exception . The patches look awesome!

Interesting?! That's how I describe a failed attempt at dessert! Just kidding - thought I'd group all the patchy goodness and scan it in!

Amazing Patches Skip very nice mailday!

That's mainly what I enjoy about these cards - not a bad patch amongst them! If there was a one colour jumbo patch I'd be absolutely spewing! heh heh

Awesome stuff mate, if only Royce White wasnt afraid to fly.

It's one heck of an expensive phobia that's for sure! Maybe they should have asked him about it prior to the draft before investing a first rounder and millions of dollars!

Wow, awesome mailday Dwayne. Love that RPA's

Cheers Dody, probably the best patches in my entire collection - I don't have that many!
