Thoughts on esp sets

Hey guys bit bored thought I would see what everyone thought on this years cards and future sets. Me personally thoughts both sets were better then previous years 2 sets only thing is I would love to see the young guns return to set 1 and I liked the future stars in set 2. Although I only pulled 2 the young guns made the first set worth collecting imagine these in next years first set

Raiders - Cornish or wighton
Sharks - Holmes or brown
Cowboys - taumololo
Storm - Hampton
Titans - James Roberts
Eels - moeroa
Panthers - will smith or zelezniak
Knights - mata Utia
Souths - Tom burgess or keary or Johnson
Roosters - Hastings or napa
Manly - sene lefaeo
Warriors - kata or lolohea
Tigers - brooks or Moses
Dragons - jack de belin
 
Souths - Kyle Turner too.

I liked the sets. However, as a commons collector, I didn't like having 11 commons in Traders - instead of 12 - or 9 in Elite. Should really be 18 in the Traders but that's debated fiercely around here.

I did like the range of subsets though. Kept a common man like me interested.
 
I love the new elite set. I found traders a bit boring. Not a fan of the second parallel set.... Especially considering the second set is almost the hardest set to complete..... Which considering the size.... Isn't cool.

The Elite set was great. Only thing was the 1/1 card and not numbering the wchp. Which devalued the cards.... Although.... The price of the WCHP will increase over time. Esp when no one has them on ebay anymore.

Next year.
Cowboys, tamou, cooper or hall.

Agree with you on the second parallel set and the 1/1 card. However I don't see how the WCHP was devalued by not being numbered. They still stated on the back 1 of 80. Either you want them or not don't see how numbering would make a difference to the value.

For people who collect numbers, or low numbers. It makes a difference. Pull a 001 or a 002 and it's different to 053. Unnumbered cards are plain. If there were numbers on them more people would be interested.

I totally agree with you in terms of the serial numbering but the biggest thing there is cost. I strongly believe the World cup Parallels should have been serially numbered but for anything over 150 each it becomes very costly to do.
 
I agree. I think anything over 100 in a run is too much. Including the ls & the ygs. But limited releases, under 100 should be numbered. When you have a card numbered 486 it loses it's point. When you see numbered cards it shows rarity. And it's appealing.

2014 big improvement on 2013 releases.

I have really enjoyed this years releases.

My biggest issues have been quality control, so many damaged cards as the inserts are quite often on the top of the packet.

I love the sigs bring in packs but again quality control needs to be sorted so they are in the middle of the packet.

In saying ESP have been excellent to deal with regarding replacements

I love the sigs in the pack. But I house mine in a two card holder because of select and their redemptions.... I therefore have to buy two of each high end (cowboys only)..... Which gets $$$.

I love how everyone can get a sig. Not just people with heaps of money, but everyone....

I loved the signed case card idea!

I'd like to see a single redemption. Limited to 50 in each elite set. This would ensure only 50 master sets.... This years 70 (case card).... Ensures that only 70 sets are ever gonna be available. Next to last years 105..... 70 is great!

I'm a few cards off finishing this years master set.... And I love knowing only 70 sets could ever be completed.... But my guess... Alot less will be.
