2008 Courier Mail Checklist

Thought I'd heard a whisper there was one or two different players, Mainly in the legend part of it... Could be wrong.

I think the confusion for this set comes from a small error in Dan's bible, well mine confusion did, as I think both the Telegraph and Courier are numbered the same, both my STG sets are anyway.

My confusion for this set came when I bough the courier mail STG set and used Dan book to get the numbers from for the trade and I had a random TOC card in my mail day. Dan's book has F Burge as #197 yet both Telegraph and Courier mail are #195, so I assume if one is wrong in Dan's book there is at least another card wrong as well.

What years did Courier Mail produce cards similar to the Telegraph?

SO far I know of 2008 and 2010. Any further years? @hobo do you know, thinking you would have some idea looking at your Dragons PC...

Good question I dont know for sure but I believe 1999 and 2000 both Courier, Sunday Mail and Telegraph produced same sets. I think 2001 and 2003 Courier Mail did la arge Bronco set only.

Be interested to hear from other if that is right and all.

Cheers

It was in a sleeve which also had a printed note saying that this card should replace #26 in the Courier Mail set. I happen to have the CM set in a folder and was intrigued to see what this was about, and found that the card in my set was actually from the Daily Telegraph set, so it appears that the DT card found it's way into the distributed CM packets. Same player but different photo.

Maybe in your case but the error card of butris was in the courier mail packs i have opened and then the llater pack had the replacement with that note. The telegraph ones you had to contact the tele sperately to get the correction

The reason for the replacement is that the original card (the second one in your post) has a picture of Glen Buttriss, not Croker on it.

Ok now I understand what Richard was saying, I thought it was Croker on both, but what I now want to know is, whether or not there was a replacement for the CM with Croker on it?
My CM set, bought personally, had the DT Croker card in it, NOT the CM error card, so now I have a CM with Butris and a DT with Croker, but no CM with Croker.

Yes both Tele and Courier had both a error with Buttris and a correction with Croker.

For me the tele one you had to email/write to them to get the replacement. For the Courier Mail one it seemed to come with the pack and that note you had saying throw out the error card.

Hope this helps
