Jersey patch gripe

Is anyone else annoyed when the ribbing material (that runs vertical down the side of the jersey) is passed off as a patch?

They are using these in some Paytons lately. I'm not too fussed as it's the first time they've been used and they look cool from the old Sonics jerseys with the different textures and stitching going on.
I don't want to see them used all the time though.

:/ They've been using them as patches in Isiah's cards for some time now. I guess that is what "prime" can entail. To me, prime is numbers or letters. IMO they should just be labeled jersey.
