what would you like to know? I think we are a smaller market with a different mentality than in the US. Lots of us have been collecting since the scanlens, stimorol, dynamic days where there were no 1/1s. I think most collectors of US sports cards have started to collect in a market that already had that so therefore had to accept it. I am all for cards with a low print run but more like 1/5 or 1/10. still I am only a team collector not a master set collector so that would still not suit everyone. Remember we are card collectors not jersey collectors.
Still I applaud ESP for trying something new
Just on that I have never seen the extreme and treasure redemptions of 2002. Does anyone have a link or an image they can show up of the two?
ESP do understand the market here much better now and I dont think we would be seeing 1/1 cards anytime soon.
Maybe #/10 but I still reckon we wouldnt see anything less than #/25.
They know that NRL collectors are completists.....they want everything!

Just wondering if ESP has thought about providing players with something like a suggested signature plan. I know it sounds stupid but you look at say smiths sig this year and I haven't seen a bad one, you look at a klemmer and half the time it's pretty awful where it's situated.
Dislike all the parallel sets and not huge on the signature redemption as it ruins it for a lot of collectors who collect regularly.
"The number 1 cards from the League Sensation Signature series will be redeemed by lucky collectors via a special redemption card . For the first time in NRL card history the signed number 1 Card will be framed with the corresponding team jersey, once ESP receives the redemption card we will send out to the collector the framed team jersey with the number 1 card, and we will return the redemption card, market of course." This is off the statement released by ESP so not sure why people think the jersey itself is signed.

13 of the Jerseys are signed.
I'm surprised people are letting the Redemption card get to them. It's not on the official flyer checklist. I wouldn't consider it as part of the set.....just a means to get a bonus jersey to you.
Does everyone feel the same way about not having a Grand Final Redemption Card from 2014 Traders in their sets?

If I was completing a master set it would bother me but at least with those there is 6 which is 6 times better than these other ones and no team specific reference. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the packets on the back say redemptions 16 cards or something like that so to me that is part of the set. There is heaps of cards not officially part of a set but people still consider that they need them for a complete collection. Think the One Community cards etc. I mean if they came out with a normal card, say the tedesco young gun and they only made 1 of them, I'm pretty sure everyone would be really annoyed (except the one lucky person to find it), granted some people don't really care about a redemption but alot of us view it as just as important as any other card produced, and that is why it is so frustrating that years of hard work and enjoyment trying to complete that collection is now basically impossible.
I think it is good that they are trying to do something new, and the concept of the bonus jersey is good, it just needs to be done better with 130 redemptions numbered and the #1 gets the jersey as an extra. I really hope they fix it and offer redemptions to all the other 129 cards although I know it most likely won't happen. I'm disappointed for all of us with this current outcome. Disappointed for us collectors as it makes master sets and even team sets impossible, and disappointed for ESP that in trying to do something positive, have actually created alot of negativity and de-motivated alot of us given the ramifications weren't fully considered.
Something inside of me is still burning for the 2 bulldogs cards from the guys n balls set. Being only one card of each and the money its worth but especially it being a fan made/fake I don't think I'll ever get it but being a bulldogs collecter I still want it. Now this redemption card is a must for me and I will always be chasing it. Its not the jersey or even the #1 card its the redemption card I want in my set. It a bulldogs card I must have. I must say well done to esp, their release was awesome and these redemptions created a big hype but im happy to hear they're gonna be /10 or /25 in the future sets
Agreed mate. I don't consider them part of the set as their is no possible way one person is going to get all 16 redemption cards. Ever.
There were also the 6 (from memory) game ball redemption cards in the 2012 Ltd series. How many people have those?

Just clarifying this numbering.....I said I would doubt we will see anything numbered lower than 10 or 25. ESP knows that if they did make cards lower than 10, it would impact on peoples ability to collect everything of their chosen teams.

It is highly unlikely you are going to get your hands on a 1/1 redemption card but forgetting that one card I don't know if I have met anyone who has every card they want. Most people including me wouldn't even know every card made for their team.

The difference is... There are cards we are all missing... These are official releases though.. From a proper card trading company.. Not a tazo... A maggi card or a fiji nrl set......
I think ESP have done a great job. They're giving us quality cards...... And cards we want too....... This thread isn't a slag off by any means.... More of a discussion amongst fans about what they want.... At least ESP are listening... Select rarely did.

I would probably disagree as I think there are alot of very serious collectors who know of or pretty much know all of the cards for their team especially now thanks to things like Dan's book and website like this. For me I am only missing about 10 of the regular sized cards (which I consider the pure collection, only oddbod sized stuff like postcards etc that I don't count the quite the same) and was working at chipping away at them but all of them are attainable if I am prepared to pay the $ that they are worth, but the 1/1 just isn't attainable.It's the fact that with patience and effort there was always a hope of being able to get the complete collection not just myself but also the other members on here who are equally passionate about cards its always great to see or help others be that one step closer to the complete collection and knowing that if they complete theirs I then can't complete mine is disappointing. Anyway I think I have said enough on the matter. time to get the thread back on track.
Question I would like to ask is there any chance that Powerplay will move to regulation size cards to fit in with the rest of our collections? Or if they will remain oddbod sizes can they please make albums that fit the entire series in them since you can't manually add more sleeves. Also did they do replacement cards since one of the checklists was out of order? I think it was warriors?
Someone may already know the answer but what three jersey's aren't signed?
Can the folders be made bigger (think dynamic 94, 95) fit the series in ?
