I know we've had this conversation before... But... Who here are low number collectors?

I'm not much of a number collector.. If I have one in a limited release, I'm happy.... This series was different of course, being as the number 1, really is a one of one card.

Thoughts on low numbers and if you collect them?

Can i ask what is the appeal of just random low numbers. Number 1s and jersey numbers i understand but i dont get why number 8 (non jersey) is any better then 54. Is it just because if you try to get all the same numbers like saintsforever does you would need to pick a number below 40 (since i think that is the shortest run so far that is individually numbered)? Or is it because of how jersey numbers work in league where the player might switch to that number if they change position in future?

I think it's to have the most "unique" set. You start out just collecting. Then you have everything. Then you turn it up. Start getting 3 of each card. Then you turn it up again. Start matching card numbers (@Wizzle ). Then you chase low numbers.... It's a progression I'm led to believe.

Not in that league yet where i can be fussy lol, im happy to have any number really.
But in saying that id chase jersey numbers or Team draft numbers-Number they're given on debut (Eg. Joey Johns #7 or #75) If i could

I fully agree i started with just 1 Knights only player collection, since joining here and few other sites ive expanded to
1. Solid Knights collection - Base and Parallel from every year and every set (Only Knights Jerseys)
2. Knights Player collection - Every Knights player ever on a card in every jersey they ever wore
3. IPS Signatures - Goes side by side with Player collection - Just started really only about 20 or so from thousands

Then got my 1st sig #105 and by coincidence my 2nd sig was #105 also, so thats a possible set collection down the line :)
But much further down the line for me lol as anyone thats seen my want list can agree lol

this is the first year ive really gone after low numbers, ended up getting all the LS, YG and case card numbered under 30.

should finish the 2013 LS set off early next week when the card arrives, they vary from 13-14 upto about 110.

my centenary set is all basically in the 50 odd region.

i saw some really low numbers early on this year in the set and thought screw it go for it. highly unlikely i will ever go for something like that again but its nice knowing ive got that one set with the lower numbers

so that was my thought process this set in a nut shell
