The kinds of people buying NT

So far, there seems to be nobody busting to keep. I know it's a very expensive product to do that with, but everyone's immediately selling their entire bust.

You've got hypocrites like Paul on Blowout who constantly bashes Panini then still joins a group break and busts his own case (and pulls a logoman that he immediately lists on ebay for a stupid price).

Then you've got utterly greedy/idiotic sellers, like the guy who said to me about his Steven Adams RPA /99:
"Well, this is his best RPA in the best product of the year. As you know, he was all-rookie second team and a lottery pick. The Gianis RPA is at $600 with 4 days left! That one should sell for $800-$1000. I also don't know where it will end up, but $500?"

I knew it was on ebay at the time and watched it just finish for.... $90.99.


So basically this product is for the greedy busters/flippers and nobody else? Is that the way we're heading with every product? I want the Adams stuff in NT but people are nuts with their prices. And it only seems to be happening more and more. Pathetic isn't it?

set collectors, player collectors and people who want to get in early, pick up a bargain and hopefully flip it later for a profit....

Personally I am not a huge fan, but if I see a nice patch or legend auto I might pick it up.

Put me in the category of buying a couple of cheap NT PC Cards here and there and that's about it.

This is no knock on Adams but he will be a good role player and have popularity here and in NZ but I can't ever see him sustaining huge prices for very long.

I remember people paying $1200 plus for Bogut Exquisite Rookies.....these can be had for a few hundred these days.

And I agree! Adams will be a solid center but nothing more, yet a lot of people out there are trying to sell based on (false) potential and it's frustrating.
I'm definitely a patient person when it comes to buying - I won't rush to get the first one, and I'll only buy it if I like the patch and signature on the card etc. So I'm not worried about missing it (there are 99 of them!), just annoyed about how everybody acts in regards to them (and all products/players nowadays it seems).

I'm a Player Collector, and if I had the coin (and the nutsack) to bust a box/case of this product, I'd 100% be flipping everything from it.

Much like Matt said, Exquisite prices when they hyped up were huge, and now look at them. People pay ridiculous prices for rookies in the HOPES to make some money later on.

Anyone remember a 1/1 Finest Redemption of Greg Oden selling for around the $5k mark? Wonder what prices they'd get for it now.....

I'm with @banzini on this one. I picked up a PG jersey card for $4 earlier today. It ends up being the cheapest jersey card of his I have bought!

There are a lot of cards which are inflated with hype but then there are the cards which are over supplied at the same time and go really cheap.

Always good to grab a bargain on over supplied cards in high end purchases. Card looks great and you can grab a bargain. I collect Alonzo Mourning and know his stuff always goes for way more than it should in nearly every new set that comes out. The stuff is always going up on eBay and sells for much less 2 months after release. Sure, I may miss a few nice patches etc but overall it's a sound buying system to abide by.

Some people had the most absurd way of working out values. As mentioned with regards to Adams, you aren't looking at a stud with future superstar potential, so why price it that way?

I cant figure out how some people are pricing singles so far. List a price, i comment I'll take it, I get a PM saying the price is now double as "it must have been listed too cheap to be accepted this quick". The price was actually spot on fair. I'll just go get one off ebay.

When I was busting I was doing it for the thrill, knowing I'd sell pretty much everything too. Unless I hit any vucevic... can't afford to bust anymore so I just pick up singles.
In saying that I think anything I sold was listed a a fair price.. And seeing the new NT Vucevics on eBay some very high prices ( won the first patch auto /25 today for $15 free del. ) is a rather frustrating. Like most are saying I will wait a while to pickup much else. Although there is already a 1/1 and a 1/3 listed
Damn it!!! May try to get one of them..

premium product these days for NBA??

Spectra, NT, Flawless, Immaculate...

NT was a couple of years ago, I honestly can't work it out. That's why I think these case busters try and sell on hype, as panini is not holding value.......

Funny cause I was thinking the same thing yesterday. For product only to be out 2 days there is a TON of it on ebay already. Lots of short prints showing up by day 2, which leads me to think like you, no one holding everyone selling. And prices have been all over the place. Buy it now/best offers for $200 and the same single in auction going under $10. Looks like everyone just to get their $500 back.

The Logomans look pretty sweet in this, but the flippers have priced them at crazy prices.

I like the Changers Auto gold set, but the rest looks trash IMO.

im with you mate , i mean for 500 plus i would rather go and buy a case of brilliance ($445) it would be a lot of fun to bust.... dont get mr wrong some if the nt look stunning but 500 way over priced for me.
