Curious to know what ticks people off basically I have 2 things that are annoying as Hell!!

Firstly I hate when guys don't reply when ur in talks and they clearly have read your msg, for gods sake if ur no longer interested just state it will take u a whole 5 seconds!!!

And Lastly for me is the good ol bump on ur "Wanted" thread asking for certain cards and when u reply and are in talks and there happy with the price they say let me get back to u....then next day they bump there thread again, makes no sense??

Anyway had to let it out haha sorry guys but share ur pains lol

I hate when someone pulls a card of your pc player. See's you collect them. Pm's you with a price well over eBay sales price just cos you collect them.

Its even worse when you reject them, and it ends up in a sales thread the next day for well under what they quoted you for it.

Im of the other school of thought. If I pull a card of your PC player, and I decide to pm you about. I will always offer it for less than the lowest ebay sale, and tell you to keep me in mind if you ever pull a Kobe/Longley I need.

Thats what makes this site great.

Honestly, unless it's something for a PC and there is no price listed I pretty much don't bother these days. The other part is those that ask for a best price you can do, or a bulk price and then don't reply. Least you can do is say you'll pass so that I can keep them available for others rather than wait in limbo.

When you list a card for sale at a price and someone asks if you will sell for cheaper. If I was going to sell for cheaper it would have been listed for cheaper.

And another thing, most people on here tend to want to purchase for less than ebay prices. Most of my stuff is priced at average ebay prices. If you want to purchase for less than ebay then try ebay and best of luck!

1. People pm me for a price, I reply and get no reply from them if they want it or not. No future deals with you my friend!
2. People who are trying to flip a card of a pc player to you for a profit even though you know how much they paid for it, not what this site is about, I would rather let them keep the card. Good luck with selling JR for a profit :p
3. Someone starting 3 or 4 sale threads consecutively - read the rules ning nong!
4. I start a thread asking for "cheap", I get ebay prices or above. If I wanted ebay prices, I'd go there!
5. Newbies asking for pp gift, you been here for 5 minutes, why the hell should I trust you!

1. Those who don't respond to PM's.
2. Make an offer sale threads.
3. People who assume just because I have a sale thread means I'm desperate for money.
4. Using the cheapest last sale price to undercut you- If you saw it cheaper elsewhere, why didn't you buy it?
5. People who don't understand the concept of negotiating a deal.

@postgsl Im actually happy to accept below eBay prices on here, within reason, because I know that eBay would take 10% and The buyer normally covers the paypal fees with pp gift. I think its a win for buyer and seller on here.

Theres nothing worse than landing some sales on ebay to increase your paypal balance, then a week later eBay invoices you for $100 in fees.

I know what price I sell for here remains in my paypal balance.

Some people put up for sale prices on individual cards that are excessive to me, yet when they want a card(s) they expect to pay very low prices.
When it comes to common cards, the normal thinking is, 'its a 10c card' so some expect 20-50 cards for basically nothing, yet they expect top dollar for a very common insert.
That is the main reason i very rarely trade/buy here as i prefer ebay where i pay a lot less.

There's really only 2 things that annoy me here:

1) People not replying to PM's, especially mid-deal. As others have said, if you are no longer interested, just say so. It saves time and effort from both parties.

2) Sale threads with no prices. If you want to sell something, figure out what you want for it. Do some research and come up with a price you are happy with. You can always negotiate, or lower your prices or add an O.N.O. if needed.

Having said that, I love this place and even though I have gone through collecting a heap at stages and selling off my whole collection a couple of times, I keep coming here because for the most part it is a great and friendly place.

@Coopz05 point 4 of the above is what I was referring to in my initial post in this thread.

Reading and not replying to a PM is by far my (and most by the looks) biggest frustration. Even if you read it and know you cant respond in detail, at least write something like "busy right now, will get back to you tomorrow/couple days etc" . If you have time to read the PM you have time to flick a quick reply.

A couple of other things;

1. People asking to trade for cards in my PC - the bucket is not called PC NFT for no reason!!!!!!!
2. Put a price on a card, for example; Last sold on ebay for 300, put 250 on it, reply I get; "Sorry, I was hoping to get it cheaper than what it last sold for" Ummmmmm 250 is less than 300 isn't it?

People getting shitty when you offer them a low price for a card, hey if you put "make an offer" then don't be upset when I low ball you, I am not in the game to be handing out money for piss and giggles so if I think i can get it on the cheap I will offer you a cheap price, if you don't like it put what you want and put FIRM, my biggest thing I find annoying, people busting a case or box then trying to sell the whole thing, that's not collecting or a hobby, it's a hoping to get rich scheme, if I ever buy a case the only ones I'd sell would be doubles, as for the rest, good luck getting them out of my cold dead hands lol

This is also one of my pet peeves, the AFL hobby has become an absolute shitfight due to 1 or 2 "collectors" buying dozens of cases and busting the whole thing for eBay.

The rest of us collectors are left out in the cold trying to sell our doubles/unwanted cards, and makes it almost impossible to buy a box/case without bleeding money.

It also brings in more muppets thinking they can get your cards for next to nothing.

People getting s***ty when you offer them a low price for a card, hey if you put "make an offer" then don't be upset when I low ball you, I am not in the game to be handing out money for piss and giggles so if I think i can get it on the cheap I will offer you a cheap price, if you don't like it put what you want and put FIRM

This is a bit silly - sure I love a bit of bartering, but if a bloke comes out and asks for a card of mine for a third of what its worth, I won't be happy.

Yeah I agree there's a difference between making a fair offer on the low side of the cost spectrum, and low balling. Low balling annoys me to a crazy amount, everyone hates receiving those offers so I don't know why you bother making them knowing what response you are gonna get back.

For Sale threads, IMO, should ALL contain prices.
People will window shop all day, but won't go out of their way to ASK for a price. They WILL barter/offer counter prices.
It's usually these people not listing their asking prices getting upset/offended when an offer is made to them which they consider "low-balling". If you don't want shitty offers, put a damn price down!

Irks me when I see people blatantly trying to turn a hobby into a money making venture. Buying and selling cards (flipping) and trying to push the most out of sales for profits.

Then there's the everlasting over-inflation of prices to specific collectors JUST because they collect that item/person/team/etc.

'Make an offer' is a stupid way that sellers think 'I think a card is worth X, but hopefully a desperate collector will stupidly offer me Z for it'

Peeps! It NEVER happens! This community know and understand the hobby.

Dont be offended if someone offers you a 'low-ball' price, or what the card is truly worth.

Chances are; that same person wouldve paid the price you wouldve asked for. Now you just p&$@ed them off, and now they just wait for eBay.

Put a price down.
