Mr Doyle said those suspended were:
• David Williams - suspended for the rest of the 2014 season after placing multiple bets on games - including several in which he was involved.
• Ethan Lowe - suspended for two games for betting on one game in which his club was involved – but in which he did not participate.
• Cody Nelson - suspended for two games for betting on one game in which his club was involved – but in which he did not participate.
• Hymel Hunt - suspended for two games for betting on one game in which his club was involved – but in which he did not participate.
• Slade Griffin - suspended for two games for betting on one game in which his club was involved – but in which he did not participate.

Wait a second, Bennett gets you one game short of a Grand Final in 2013, and then Tinkler's business world spirals in to a mess and somehow it's all Bennett's fault?

Last year seemed to be more about Buderus, our win record without him was terrible, and we were a million miles off the pace in the gf qualifier once he got KOed.

But we still only just scraped into the finals last year. His win rate is atrocious at the club (worst of any Knights coach ever, I believe - although he might have moved up a spot or two with the recent two wins) and it's with a squad he's built, because he gave the vast majority of our top eight squad the punt when he came in.

Stoked to get rid of Bennett and his well outdated game plans. Let's bring Stone back and pretend the last three years never happened.

top 4 last year and hes outdated ? sour grapes i reckon. hes a great coach the players just have the shits with the tinkler business i think. you dont go from 4th to dead last for no reason.

Cody Nelson explains his involvement
If this is true i feel sorry for him as he would most likely have been in the side this week

Apparently Steve Matai has asked for a release from his contract to move to Auckland and play for the Warriors in 2015

Was denied again thankfully. I dont know what the Warriors plan is with all these centres. Hurrell, Laumape, Neilsen, Allwood and then Matai. And then there is already cover with Mannering and Henry if necessary.

It is the 2nd time he has asked to be released to the Warriors this year. The way player contracts go, I'd say watch this space. Add to all that that Steve has a mentally disabled brother in Auckland who he is very close to who has been gravely sick and I find it a surprise that the Manly board have refused to meet with him to at least hear him out.It does seem Manly are playing hardball, which I guess is to be expected, he is in great form and would qualify for the long serving allowance.

As far as our depth; we have two very good centres in Laumape and Hurrell. Laumape is a rookie, who could be great under a Matai apprenticeship, Hurrell has the potential to be an elite player, but I suspect he will be injury prone over the years. Neilsen will almost certainly be gone and after watching Allwood after he signed I'm not convinced he is what the Warriors will ever need. I'd say we are quite light in a position that has traditionally been a huge weakness for us. A few injuries next year and we have the potential to be exposed badly.

I heard a rumor South's are going to hold the football more than once every 2 possessions in next week's game and break the trend.

As a team who basically tuck it under the arm and barge their way forward its got to be a huge worry, you could understand if they were tossing it around.

I think bennett is the greatest coach of all time but I don't think he has done a great job at the knights.
he has tried to buy a premiership with too many older players.
He also changed the free flowing style that has always suited the knights.
granted their defence needed improving but its important to have a free flowing
attack and more offloads.
the biggest mistake he made was not to promote the juniors through and I hope the next
coach has the patience to go back to what has made the club successful and that's to have
a strong local presence with a few experienced hard heads to guide them.

It's been like this all year and does my head in.
It makes no sense to me how you can't hold a damn footy when you've spend most of your life doing just that. It's the first thing you learn as a kid playing the game.
I'm resigned to the fact I'll never see the Rabbits win a championship in my lifetime.
